GM's thread about nothing (38 Viewers)

:goodposting:

Well, that was a long freaking meeting. As far as the Asperger's diagnosis, he falls somewhere in the the "possibly" to the "likely" category. However they stressed that was from an educational POV not a medical POV. The good news is that they told us they have never seen test results like Cal's from another kid with ADHD much less with severe ADHD. His biggest problem in addition to the ADHD is his lack of ability to recognize non-verbal social ques to which he scored on the low end of average. His cumulative IQ came in at 114 which is "high average" however if you removed the non-verbal social ques score, it goes up to 123 putting him in the "superior" range. He was tested separately by three different people and they all described him as gifted and extremely intelligent many times which makes a father feel good. The best news is that we are done with all of this testing and he qualifies to get help which he will one way or another next year.
:goodposting: Now when are they going to figure out what the hell is wrong with you?
:goodposting:
:lmao: :goodposting: There were an amazing amount of similarities between their analysis of Cal and my life then and now. They were showing us one of the tests and there was a pic pretty close to this and I thought to myself "yeah, five fingers, wtf?" when the gal says he answered "number 5? Five fingers? He didn't understand that the person was trying to tell him to stay away or get back." :bag:

Oh yeah Rudi, they all said he has some a phobia of being touched by his classmates, particularly boys.

Scooby Doo Costume Camp
:lmao:

I miss the days when I used to get emails from Truck.

ETA - On second thought, I think the last email I got from Truck included topless shots of Dez, so maybe I don't miss it so much.

I hate gambling.
maybe you should consider gambling camp.I'm not posting any plays in the wagering thread because I have no confidence in betting baseball, but I'm actually having a decent season. Getting killed on NBA playoffs, though.
I worked out a baseball prop system that had been +20 units so far this season. Tonight wiped out half that profit as it was a big card and everything lost. I don't bet enough to really affect my life, but I feel a little sick anyway.

we're men. do we really need this??
I don't even know what that means.
For example this pic was interpreted by Cal (and myself) that she has 5 fingers or wants 5 dollars or something. The correct interpretation is "stay away". Cal's test results was like some sort of intervention on my own life and explained a few things. :bag: :bag:

Yes?
SLB>You're my boy, Blue.

Hope things work out for Cal.
It will, thanks GB.

SLB, I believe FFA'er johnnyhotcakes, who is a CPA and CFA if my notebook is correct, has Asbergers. You might want to shoot him a PM if you have any questions on the disorder.

Just watch out if your son says he wants to fly to China to meet some girl.

Okay, it's time to play SAFE OR UNSAFE TO EAT!

Today's featured item is your common Orange. As it was sitting on my desk, my boss walked by, looked at it and said "Oh, don't eat that! It's got cancer!".

I didn't know oranges could get cancer, but I'll admit, I'm a little scared to eat this one. But, I'll leave it to the wisdom of the FFA. First person to give me a good reason to eat or not eat this orange wins!

I think I see the Virgin Mary. Either sell it on ebay or turn that orange into a cherry.

Saw the pic of Cal and his new bike on FB. Reminded me of a joke. Certainly in poor taste for facebook. Not sure if it is in poor taste here.

Experience tells me Joe is a pretty level-headed about determining these things and seems to be a good barometer for public sentiment. I say let fly.

lol. Not so much worried about Joe, but SLB's reaction...which is, I suppose, a sentence that has never been typed and/or uttered before.

Perfectly fine to eat.Pretty disappointed at the lack of conspicuously-placed shtick items in the background.
