GM's thread about nothing (24 Viewers)

So I need to plan my brother's bachelor party, Sep or Oct. I wanted to do Montreal, he wants something adventurous, ie out in nature.

I think we are gonna rent a cabin in NH, do a good hike up Mt Washington on Sat, get back to the cabin around 5PM Sat nite. I would like to hire a stripper to come over... How the hell do I find a stripper out there? Google is not my friend so far
Is the Jockey Club available?Permanent markers should be on the party favor list.

about a month ago I knocked bumpers w/ another car in the lot at work as I was pulling into a tight space, left some marks and popped the other car's bumper alittle bit off one of it's hinges, no structural damage to the bumper itself. No witnesses but I left a note. Had not heard anythnig until just now - ####er wants $800 to replace the entire bumper and have some scratches around the gas tank repainted. :hot:
jeep, is that you?
I'll be happy to get off at that price. The chick I hit hasn't answered her phone all week.

What's a movie where a character ignores all the bad things around him/her in order to maintain sanity. Like something where a parent/friend sees all the signs that their kid/friend/husband is a killer but ignores it because they don't want to admit it's possible?

The Shining to a degree? She was only good as Olive Oil...I just can't stand Shelley Duvall in anything else. I wished JAck would catch her.

Went to the grocery store this evening. A couple was having a quiet, but passionate argument over whether they should get the jasmine or basmati rice. Not my problem, except they and their cart contrived to choke off the entire aisle. I listened for a while, then they noticed me just standing there two feet away and moved their cart.

Not five minutes later...yep. Same couple, continuing their passive-agressive Olympics in the cereal aisle. For all I know, they've been in the store since Saturday. Eventually, they look up and see me grinning at them.

"Hi folks, can I just get to the oatmeal?"

Some young guy comes to a stop in front of the exact brand of oatmeal I want. Something in my facial expression tells him to keep moving.

I'm not here to shop, people, I'm here to purchase. Stay out of my way. :goodposting:

What kind do they use in Rice-a-Roni because that's what I like.

Basmati. But I'm a cement-walker, so what do I know.
They're both soooooo good, though. They each have their place. I think choosing between the two is downright unAmerican.Speaking of unAmerican...I don't get involved in the political threads here, but Mr. krista4 and I were just screaming about how disappointed we are in O, whom we both supported since the primaries. Any chance you can show some ####### balls anytime soon, Mr. O?

You know that by invoking the "O" word, Jim11 is going to find this thread via search right?

Completely apolitically, I wanted to mention that the Caprese sandwich is definitely top five, and to note that it is impossible to get a freakin' egg salad sandwich in Memphis. Is this a Memphis thing, or a Southern thing? The only thing available anywhere here is an egg-and-olive sandwich. I am olive-friendly, but it's amazing to me that you can't get an egg salad that doesn't include olives...proudly displayed, even. WTF?

Fixed. Just appears I'm talking about Oprah now.

IIRC, you live downtownish. Have you tried Frank's on S. Main? I used to go there years ago and they had a killer sandwich setup. I don't remember egg salad, but I do remember deviled eggs... so I'm sayin' there's a chance.

oof, not sure why I posted something political in this thread. Sorry.

Hopefully caught before quoted.

I guess you had 47 entrants last year and it was $85 a person ($3 + $2 = $5/week times 17 weeks) and that you like King of the Hill?

Yes plus $3 a person because that it was the website charges. I pay too. I'm sure there may be free sites out there but I've been using this one for about 10 years and it has always worked well plus I don't want to confuse everybody.

Buddy and I took today off to take some girls out on his boat. Beats working. :banned:
For somebody I generally like, I don't think I hate many people more than you, Stu.
