GB learning that garlic trick 15 years ago. A metal "sorting" blade helps to keep your hands from smelling like garlic for days too.

Seems it's called a "pastry scraper" after a quick Google:

http://askville.amazon.com/pastry-utensil-...uestId=10130385

Mortar & Pestle helps a ton if not needing to chop.

We've covered most of this in the thread, but jeebus... couldn't tell you what page.
I use one of these.
Awesome. It is a weed grinder though. Props to someone for actually coming up with something useful when high. :lmao:

I have something similar to that but i have never put garlic in it!!

Ah, first time back since my first ever suspension on the board. I think the suspension will make me be a better poster, a stronger poster. I spent the week following current events, but after a few hours of that, I got of bored of it and mainly just focused on adult websites. Thank God the suspension is over, I think my hand was about to fall off.

So this "Modern Family" wins the Emmy, I ask if it's any good on FB and I think 8 people respond quickly saying it's good, so I am now watching the pilot...and this show is ####### garbage.

Must be a big hit in Flyover Country.

Give it a couple episodes. It's got some really funny bits once you understand the characters.

Haven't watched it, but heard the same thing from several people, that it takes a few episodes to really hit its stride.

The last few minutes of the first episode were decent, elevating it from a D+ to a C IMO.Still not sure how this is funnier than 30 Rock.

30 Rock is spectacular. But it still took more than a few episodes to get going. IIRC, the first half of the first season left me fighting to hang on...I'm very glad I did, but I wouldn't have blamed anyone for bailing on it during the first season. Same with Seinfeld. Same with The Simpsons. But regarding the Emmy (which I assume you were referencing with the "funnier than 30 Rock" thing) the last half of last year's 30 Rock was really not very good. There were several episodes that I thought flat-out sucked.

Modern Family is probably my favorite show right now. It consistently makes me laugh out loud, even on 2nd and 3rd viewings. And in this past year, to Homer's point, it has been way better than 30 Rock - and I'm a huge 30 Rock fan. Give it more time, Truck. I hope it pays off for you.

We played golf Ryder Cup style on Saturday and my cousin and myself get hooked up with two guys both named Larry. So 27 holes of "hey nice shot Larry" , "thanks for picking my ball up Larry", "nice putt Larry,"etc.

Sunday morning we were eating breakfast when our GB walks in the restaurant and asks WTF we were calling the guys we were golfing with Larry all day. It turns out both of their names is actually Randy. :lmao:

:goodposting: Sounds like something I'd do. :bag: I'd probably argue with the wife and with either Randy when trying to tell me anything different as well.

Modern Family is awesome and I thought the first episode was nearly perfect. 30 Rock is awesome too but MF was better this year.

My dad and BIL were playing golf in Tunica, MS. this past Spring. They got paired with a couple of "younger guys" as my dad explained. One of them introduced himself and my father asked him what he did for a living. He said he was a musician and that he was playing that night in Tunica. My dad said he might just have to come to the bar and watch him play, assuming he was in one of those bands he saw playing to the slot machine crowd on a Friday night. A few holes later, my BIL started to realize he had heard the name Dirks Bentley previously, telling my dad he thought Dirks might be a pretty big musician. They called my sister who started freaking out and accusing them of lying. She was embarrassed, but still trying to figure out how to get there in time to play the back nine. He was pretty cool about the whole thing and gave them some tickets to the show that night which had already sold out the amphitheatre, I'm pretty sure.I couldn't tell you one song Dirks Bentley sings and couldn't pick him out of a line-up. :tumbleweed:

Modern Family fans: Have you ever noticed how much Claire absolutely hates Phil? Seriously, watch the show. She hates the poor guy.

Sunday we played a 4 man scramble with two of our GB's. My cousin looks at one of the closest to the hole placards on a par 3 and bursts out laughing. He tells me to read it and it has "Randy #### (aka Larry)" on it.

I have a pastry scraper with a hollow handle like this. Another cool thing you can do with it is core apples. Position the circle of the hollow handle over the apple stem and shove it down. WA LA. A perfectly cored apple.

A pasty scraper sounds like it would be tough on the nipples.

Hmm, mine looks just like the one you pictured. I had no idea about either of the extra uses.I was glad to have it making osso bucco for the first time ever last night. Pretty easy dish.

There are fifty pages in here since I last posted in the FFA, has GM kept up with the highlights on page 1? Does homer have meth children yet?
