GM's thread about nothing (41 Viewers)

looks to me like the writeups focus on things like defense and weather. they do take into account how the offense has been doing in recent weeks as well, but isn't it basically trying to determine if the passing game will do better or worse than normal based on their matchup that week?
Yeah, that sounds about right.

up:

Cool stuff, Bobby Layne....and great username, by the way. Layne went to Highland Park High School with Doak Walker. From the stories my dad tells, Layne used to party hard with his linemen, drinking Boilermakers into all hours of the night and playing with fierce hangovers.

Highland Park is also the school that produced Matthew Stafford, a fun fact that I and I alone find interesting.

Of course, HP churned out some other superstars....Angie Harmon, Jayne Mansfield, Morgan Fairchild, Stephanie March and also this sexy beast.
And all I got was Jessica Simpson, Lane Garrison, and Anthony Dorsett. Anthony was there when I was. Nice guy.

I'll take advantage of the ACF portion of programming...

Shuked this week at RB/WR in this stupid work league. TD heavy-ish. Need 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and one flex. TIA.

Hillis @ Cin (only lock)

Bradshaw vs Phi

Blount vs Det

Stewart vs Ari

Jennings at NE

Owens vs Cle

Wallace vs NYJ

Williams vs Det

Jackson vs SF

I'm starting the Bears Defense for sure, but should I be sitting Adrian Peterson?
What are your options?Opponent is starting that Webb guy this week (over Rice). Dunno if I'm worried or pleased.
I've ridden Peterson and Foster all year long. But I could go with Jon Stewart if need be. He's picking it back up.Our league allows teams to use Defense or QB at the flex option. I'm rolling out the Bears vs. Vikes and Dolphins vs. Bills. Unlike 99% of leagues out there, our Defense/ST can and do score signficantly well.

Wait...Thora Birch was sixteen when American Beauty was made? How is that...legal? :jawdrop:
Later in 1999, Birch won enormous critical praise playing the role of Jane Burnham in American Beauty and was nominated for a British Academy of Film and Television Arts award. The movie itself went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. As Birch was 16 at the time she made the film, and thus classified as a minor in the United States, her parents had to approve her brief topless scene in the movie. They and child labor representatives were on the set for the shooting of it.
Didn't know this. Can I un-masturbate to somebody?
What is the matter with you?

I'm trying to figure out how to get you to field your worst team possible, but can't sell Colt McCoy very well.

I was gonna go with 3 WR, but don't like the Colston vs. Balt match-up. And I can't trust the Jets right now, so Holmes will stay on my bench. Garcon has been on fire lately and Branch has emerged as Brady's big time threat. I'll probably change my mind 8 times between now and Sunday, but for now, let's go RIVERS!!!!

Where do you want me to start? As far as my comment goes, I've probably made more sweet sweet solo love to that movie than any other mainstream movie not named "Bound". Between Birch and Mena and even some Anette, I've probably drained three rolls of Bounty.
Oh I wasn't judging you on that. The fact that she was only 16 might even make it b...nevermind. I'm running out of usernames.

The PTA is putting on a 'thank you/Xmas luncheon' for us today. Just found out it is going to be Olive Garden soup/salad/breadsticks.

Not that I don't appreciate it nor am I a food snob but I think I'll pass.

If you go, you'll be family.
Damn. I didn't think of it that way. I hope someone tells the Aunt Jesse story again.
I'm told the OG has gotten better, but I haven't taken the time to confirm it. It was good back in the day, but went to crap when they started watching stock prices instead of food quality. I was told things had changed, but once again, I haven't been there to confirm and I'm not blocking off any time to do so any time soon.

I went to OG a couple years back. We were meeting up with some family members who don't have the same discerning palates that I do, so we just went along with it.

It wasn't awful, but it's not somewhere I'd go on my own.

Go and be sure to ask everyone to bow their head in prayer before the minestrone

Oh I don't have a problem with OG. I'm not one of the resident food snobs that insist that it isn't really Italian unless it is made by some 80 year old FOB grandma with a moustache. It just doesn't sound good today. Usually when they do something like this they bring big sub sandwiches. I guess they wanted to change it up.

And with that, I'm advancing my reservations to hell.
Glad I could help, GB.
My god, did you know some photographer took nude pics of her staring at 10 years of age? I'm not only going to hell, but I might be going to jail later. How are those images still around on the internet? What the hell were her parents thinking???
I think I knew that. I'm guessing they wanted to be rich and justified it by claiming it was "art"? They pretty much just pimped out their daughter. What I think is strange is that when she was 14 and had a topless scene in Blue Lagoon, they used a body double.
