It was a thrilling ride the 2nd time around, but the 2nd viewing of the final episode did nothing to abate or mitigate my hatred of how they chose to end it. My wife was furious too. well that the networked intentionally botched one of the questions in the effort to stream up publicity for the show. that actors were at the tryouts Not saying I agree, I'm just curious.

We didn't start watching it until season 5 but started at the beggining. Oh how I miss those days. We would spend an entire weekends in the basement on the futon watching episode after episode. We didn't have any kids to disturb us and only took breaks to use the bathroom, eat or have sex.I felt the same way about the finale too but I still find myself wondering about it so I think maybe it was genious.

Got it, thanks!There's just no way anybody is going to convince me that the season finale of Sopranos was anything but a cop-out. A lazy, unimaginative way out. I've seen it twice now, separated by 3 or more years. It's not brilliant, it's maddening. And not in some genius way, either. Just dumb. Major points deducted on a fine fine series otherwise.
