We met with lead band dork of the marching band today. This is either going to be the most awesome idea in the history of Super Bowl party ideas, or it is going to be a complete . Either way, it will be fun. They are going to play a 20-minute set including such epics as Eye of the Tiger and Hold On, I'm Coming.

We're also flying in a friend from Chicago to provide pre-game entertainment. He's, hmmmmm, interesting would be the best word.

Early, thanks for the thought on filming it. I hadn't even considered it. I guess we'll need to borrow a video camera from someone.

I've had two in the past and given them away due to not ever using them. Seems wasteful to buy one just for this one event.We are buying another big-screen TV for the party, though.

Congrats to those with good news. For those with tougher times: sucks to be you, I guess.

I'm in between. My preggo stepsister had some complications next weekend and they moved in with me to be closer to the hosipital. Seems like a hassle, but it hasn't bothered me so far and considering I've been quite lazy the past month and they have cleaned just about the entire house so far, I'll be a step or two away from selling my house when they leave (anywhere from 1 week to a month).

Diet put on hold to a degree. Was doing the Fat Smash which requires 9 days without meat. Held strong with a slight cave last night with a piece of grilled salmon, but the bacon and eggs this morning were a bit too much to resist. I'll just have to be good the rest of the day. Might go for a jog. Kind of hard to diet with a pregnant woman in the house. She's already requested ice cream when I go out.

I am fairly certain that if I rummage through my parents' attic long enough I will find a clear plastic storage container that holds all three of those neon Ocean City sweatshirts, as well as the post-braces retainer I wore. They'll be somewhere near my Tae Kwon Do trophies and my dignity.
