soap.com

Anyone?
I hear their commercials on Pandora all the timeAll I got
See their ads all over the subway.Today I got a placard in the mail with codes for 20% off my first two orders. They also have free overnight shipping on orders over $25. The code is SOAPDELIVER1 and SOAPDELIVER2 if anyone else wants to try (good through 4/30).

I'm not exactly a walking Price Is Right, so I don't know if their everyday prices are good. But if they're even close - and they seem to carry tons of household cleaning and personal care products - seems like no-brainer to give it a shot.

Anybody use it?
My wife uses it, and their companion website diapers.com all the time. She's a big fan. Prices are very competitive, shipping is free if you buy enough stuff and they ship fed-ex overnight.

Thanks - just went on there tonight for the first time, and see they have a tab for diapers.com. Friends use that & swear by it. Pretty sure I have a CODE for that as well around here somewhere.

We do most of our grocery shopping online (fresh direct) and are a big fan of convenience. I hate schlepping stuff on the subway, and nobody looks cool pushing around a granny cart.

Someone who has an iPhone please help me. Is there a way to see who has started a particular topic on this new mobile version? I don't want someone's enticing thread title to trick me into going into threads started by people I normally avoid. Not crazy about it in general, but am already getting used to the new look. I like the Fast Reply box already being on the page. Also, when/if it works (haven't tried it yet), I like the multi-quote option. I've never mastered how to do the whole multiple quoting thing. :bag:
The fast reply was pretty much always there. The nesting seems fixed but there still needs to be definition between posts and signatures.

I've never mastered how to do the whole multiple quoting thing. :bag:
Jesus.
 I'll take a PM.
Instead of hitting reply, use multiquote. Use it repeatedly and then hit add reply on the bottom of the page and all the multiquotes you picked are in the same reply. I'm sure there's a man here that didn't know how to do it that was embarrassed to ask for help so there it is.

I'm hungover. Went to a buddy's at about 3 yesterday. We drank all his Labatt's, then his Stella's, then finished off the remainder of a fifth of captain morgans and then started on a half gallon of Tanqueray. Probably should have reversed that sequence...

Today is a good day. Background:

I've mentioned before in this thread that I've been helping my fiance with his 2009 IRS audit. I have been working feverishly for the last three weeks, calling anyone with whom my fiance may have done business to try to procure any and all documentation that we may be missing, compiling that information, putting it into very helpful spreadsheets, and taking my work by the CPA's office. This is the CPA who prepared the 2009 taxes, and over to whom my fiance signed power of attorney.

We got a letter about 2 weeks ago stating that this CPA needed a retainer of $1000 in order to represent my fiance. He has been out of town since then, so we admittedly have not gotten that check over to him. In the meantime, however, there has been dialogue back and forth between us and the CPA's office regarding receipts, etc., so my understanding was that they were working on the file. My fiance planned to take the check to the CPA when he accompanied him to the next audit meeting, which was to be today at 8:00 a.m.

At 12:04 PM yesterday we got the following email:

#####,

Our office has called #. ###### (with the IRS) today to notify him that we need to postpone your audit tomorrow. We have left word and asked that a new date be scheduled.

We feel that since we have not received your signed engagement letter, have not received your retainer of $1,000 and did not prepare the tax return under audit, we can not represent you in this matter. We will be returning your records to you tomorrow due to the holiday today. These records will be delivered to your office.

Very truly yours,

### #######
I was :hot: The only engagement letter we have gotten to-date is one regarding his 2010 taxes, which we have NO intention of turning over to these guys. I understand the part about the retainer, but they sure as hell DID prepare the tax return that was under audit. And yesterday was Presidents' Day, so they waited until a holiday (not to mention the day before) to call the auditor and try for postponement.

So, update:

Fiance and I talked about it last night and decided it was best for someone to show up at 8:00 this morning. I went by the CPA's office yesterday afternoon and retrieved all of the files I had put together. They hadn't even touched them in the last three weeks.

Walking in this morning, as a result of the preliminary meeting my fiance had had with the auditor, we were looking at a possible $50,000 in adjustments (i.e. he would owe $50K).

We walked out with a $21.00 refund.

Victory is mine.

I don't remember ever seeing a "multiquote" button on the old board, just a "quote" button. I think I did it wrong one time and then never really tried again. I just used to hit reply in two or three different tabs and copy/paste. :lmao: :bag:

So, these idiots basically cost themselves $1000 for something you did all the work on?
 To top it off, we printed the email that the guy sent and took it in this morning (we were prepared to ask for more time because of the dropped ball, but were also prepared in case the guy made us do it today).

The auditor read the email, raised his eyebrows and left to make a copy of the email. Apparently, the CPA left a voice mail yesterday asking that we postpone because he had to take his wife to the physical therapist.

Guy or Gal masseuse?

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Gal- ish.
Fixed. Par for the course with my bad luck.

I get checked in by a girl who looks and more importantly talks like someone straight outta the Russian bride draft. "Have a seat right over there sir and someone will be with you shortly." :sadbanana:

A minute after sitting down a very cute early 20s brunette comes walking out ready for her next patient. Her next patient is not me. :sadbanana:

As I look away briefly I then hear "You must be Brad". I look up to see a 50 (60?) yr old chainsmoker that looks like the landlady from Kingpin. :X :sadbanana:

She was nice enough, but whatever.. FML.

On the cost..and I would think most decent sized cities would have this.. I go to a massage school so I am getting a massage from a masseuse who is essentially in training. I suppose there is some variance in the quality but I don’t go enough to really know the difference. If you go regularly somewhere or need a massage for a back or some medical reason, it may not be for you. But I just go for the occasional rubdown from ugly old chicks so i find it cost effective. $30 for an hour or $45 for 90 minutes, and they arent allowed to accept tips. Except sometimes I give them just the tip. Wocka Wocka.

That's great YSR. I'm very happy for both of you.

The power was out here for most of the morning. The kids are going ape-crap about it. I'm tempted to celebrate the return of electricity by showing a video for the last two periods.

To have it over it alone YSR, must be relieving...well done!

I suggest submitting a bill to the Mister for the anticipated 50K...and a reduced one for at least the $1000 CPA fee. He should be paying you back for months, years!

I don't even know what IMGUR is, but I know that the pics never show up when someone posts a link and they always results in two or three people #####ing about that fact.
