Today?
Today = hungover Went to Dante's till about 2, at some point switched from beer to Jameson :guntohead:
We didn't fare much better. Long day/night of partying ended with refusal of service at Rock Bottom. Italian wife went bananas on the manager. I had to drag her out kicking and screaming. Never been in more love in my life. Walked across the street where Buffalo Wildwings proudly served us. Buddy and I began a free throw contest at the hoops machine. I beat him 2-1...I made 2 of 10 he made 1 of 10. We were a little...off. :bag: I woke up this morning in all my clothes and my fat f'n cat on my back. There's a bruise on my inner thigh where I slept on my phone.Well?

Still snowing.
I don't think I could handle that.
We just loaded some wood. The snow hits your face like little needles. Hurts dammit.
Rain here! You can keep the snow. ;)
You're the one that supposed to be getting snow! I'm 90 minutes from Malibu. :( Now we're headed off to the store to get some supplies. Wish us luck.

I guess that really IS "rock bottom". :lmao: Turning into a lightweight in my old age. One solid cocktail with this Mohawk 151 and I've pretty much had it.

I've got the boys for today, so we're going to head to the beaverton wild wings and watch some games. welcome to join us if you want to hang out with a guy from the internet and his children.

:lmao: Chip off the old block alert.

There was something on TV a minute ago and somebody said "It's was Johnny and Danny and Billy..."

My 18 year old tries to throw out some Animal House: "It was Greggy and Dougie and some of the other memebers of the Nazi Party."

:lmao:

Oh cmon, this is sweet! GM kids are like higher tiered than half the FFA. Get autographs!

Beautiful weather here today so I took the boys with me on my walk this morning err early afternoon. They did fine and made it about 3.5 miles. We did encounter this really hot broad that looked to me to be about 20. We walked by, said hello, and I asked Cal if he thought she was pretty. He agreed. I asked him if she was prettier than Mom and he says yes without hesitating.

We had some lunch after the walk and I thought it would be fun to take them to the park for the rest of the day. On the way home I asked Cal about the girl again.

Me: Cal, remember that girl we saw on our walk today?

Cal: Which one?

Me: The one in the yellow shirt.

Cal: Yes.

Me: Did you think she was pretty?

Cal: Yes.

Me: Prettier than Mom?

Cal: Um......yeah, a little I guess. How did she know Shadow's name?

Me:  She didn't know Shadow's name.

Cal: Yes she Did.

Mrs. SLB: So are you having 20 year old girls over to the house while I'm gone?

Me: Do you see a smile on my face from ear-to-ear?

Cal: Well, she sure made my day.

ETA I did discuss this with Mrs. Slb at the park whee she brought up "my no longer flat stomach." lol

5 minutes later

Cal: Dad, don't you think it would be cool if I had a TV in my room?

Me: No.

Cal: Why not?

Me: Because you would never come out of your room.

Cal: Oh sure I would. Whenever you need me I'll just pause the DVR.

Guess you just had to be there or I just needed a laugh. My Grandfather (surname) died last night. He and my Grandmother are/were eaten up with Alzheimer's but this happened very suddenly. I got a call yesterday morning that he wasn't doing well. They live out of town so Mom & Dad went up there yesterday morning. I feel horrible I wasn't there with my Dad, although I was with him on the phone, when he passed. I was already stressed about the fact my Aunt/Godmother goes under the knife tomorrow to find out about a tumor on her bladder. This is my Mom's sister and really has been my second mother. Her son is only a year older than me and we consider each other truly brothers more than cousins. Their house was only 1/2 a mile from ours growing up and I practically lived there. YSR, I got this news between your two phone calls last week.:confetti:

Sorry for your loss Bob. Best wishes for your aunt. :(
Thanks man.Just talked to my Dad, he didn't die last night. I was on the phone with him and he said "he's about to go now" and hung up. I never heard back from him and just figured he was gone. Of course now he is just a vegetable and it is only a matter of time. They took him off the oxygen yesterday afternoon and he is only taking 9-10 breathes a minute. Sounds just like my FML. Too ####### strong. ####.

Sorry to hear about this. When Mrs. TF's grandfather passed last year, it seemed to really bother me when they took the oxygen off and you could hear the breaths gradually decrease until he finally passed. I guess it's a somewhat peaceful way of going, especially if you have your family there in the room with you...but I guess it just go to me

WTF? I'm pretty sure you're about due to get hit by the lottery bus, GB. Sorry to hear about your grandfather, but if it's anything like my grandma was, it's better than the alternative at that point.

Sorry SLB. Alzheimer's sucks, both my grandmothers had it. Truly one of the cruelest diseases. T & P's for your Aunt.

I hope it comes sooner Bob, your poor dad. Prayers for some peace for your grandfather. How lucky to still have him. :(

RIP Grandpa SLB. :(

Bob, I'm glad you were able to have him in your life at your age. Growing up I only had my maternal grandma left and she passed when I was in 7th grade.

And I agree with Bobby Sac that you are due to win the lotto or just have something really awesome happen in your life.

T&P are with you.

Thanks guys. It has been a rough year or so to say the least. My Grandfather passed about an hour ago. I appreciate the sentiments.
Sorry, GB. Were I there, I'd give you an awkward man hug and take you out drinking. :(
If I were there, I'd point at GM and laugh. Then take you out drinking.

Sorry for everything you're going through, Bob. :(

Including two silly phone calls bookending horrible news last week.

Watching House Hunters - why do potential buyers always make such a big deal over PAINT? "OH the colors are HORRIBLE! I don't think I could live there!" It's f'ing PAINT! PAINT IT!

Why do people make a big deal about lawns? It's grass and trees. Plant it! Or cracks in the walkway? We're visual people. And lazy. :shrug:ETA - HGTV is one of my favorite channels. Top 5. :bag:

Cracks in the wall are structural...bigger issues. Landscaping is expensive. Paint is just paint. Its cheap and easy and EVERYTHING needs to be painted every few years anyway.

When it comes to knowing cheap and easy, I trust Early.
