SLB2> Is it weird that out of all that the thing im most curious about is the Salt N Pepa concert? What does your fiance do? :Youmakemewannashoop: But man..sorry about all the wonderful whites of west virgina crap you gotta put up with. People are crazy. When is your wedding anyways?
:lmao: July 30 is the date. I'm still hoping for a pardon from the governor. She's a social worker, but picked up a 2nd job as an usher supervisor at a group of theaters around here. Its an easy $12/hr for 5-6 hours of walking around and making sure ushers aren't talking on their cell phones, dealing with seat issues etc etc.

Check out this lineup from Saturday night

Oh, and tickets were $61 a piece! I guess with that kind of lineup you have to pay a premium

So, ............ Kelly thinks my family hates her, my mom thinks Kelly hates her, everyone hates Sally, and I'm drunk in the middle
There seems to be some potential for fireworks on your wedding day. I want in on this!! What's Sally's situation, she single? Can I be her date to the wedding? I feel like I wanna hang out with Brother Steve as well. I'll post updates and pics in the GMTAN throughout the wedding day. Can't wait.

So my future wife hates my family. Just found that out. Knock 'em out drag 'em out argument about this. My mom is the devil, apparently. Honestly, she's probably the devils assistant but she aint the ####### devil. FML
This is to be expected. Don't fret. We all hate our inlaws to varying degrees. You'll learn to hate yours too.

Tell mom when your sister gets married, you'll all be happy to plan things around her schedule but since this is YOUR wedding, everything will be done to suit YOU. Unless of course mom wants to pay for everything. Then maybe another weekend could open up.

We went through something similar. Hubbys cousin is a control freak. I deliberately didn't ask her to be part of the wedding despite being very close with her. I asked her son to be ringbearer. I heard tons of comments from her through the grape vine and she didn't give us a wedding gift. We barely speak (due to later instances of her being a #####). When she and her hubby divorced, we remained friends with him and barely speak to her. It came up one day about our wedding and he mentioned that she "debated not giving you a gift because she was so upset about not being in the wedding but I told her she couldn't do that." He was floored when I told him she decided otherwise.

What is the appeal of being in a wedding? Does it really serve as a form of validation for some people? Don't get me wrong - I've been in plenty and had a good time every time, but I cannot fathom getting upset over not being asked (and not having to shell out money for dress, shoes, bachelorette party, shower, etc).

This. Self-centered people think that weddings are about them and not the couple.

Don't ask this question of a bunch of guys. We don't give a #### either way.

So is the skinflint going to buy you a present now or what?

Ooooof. Sorry, GB. My last marriage had these sorts of problems. I will hope and root for a better outcome for you and yours. I thought I could handle it, but it tore me apart and broke me down.

3:02 and some change official time. I walked the entire thing because of my bad knees. They announced 17k in attendance and I finished just above 10k. I just wanted to see if I could do it. :shrug:Of course General "Jenner" Malaise smoked my time in his.
no shame in walking it. that's a helluva hike especially if you aren't doing it regularly.
 The fact that you did it at all is impressive. Keep it up.

I love prize packs!!! I'm going with 11:17.
It's 11:32 CDT as I type this. Unless I missed someone you win, with SLB a close 2nd at 11:51pmPM your address and you get a prize pack...well, it might be more like a Righetti bag of crap but oh well.
Prize Pack came in the mail today. As I was about to open it, I thought to myself what would the best combination of prizes in this prize pack and I figured the following list would be perfect:The Best of The Cosby Show DVD

Hand sanitizer

Couple of stolen pens from the Hyatt

Individual sized packets of hot sauce from Taco Bell

Bottle of Ultrasound Gel

Autographed picture of Trent Dilfer

And of course: a box of freeze pops

Sweet Jeebus, Sammy made all my dreams come true: Prize Pack from Heaven

My cousin and his wife came in from the Chicago area to do it, My GB and his wife did it and about 10 cousins that live here. They had a little pasta party the night before and not only did I not eat, I drank whiskey and smoked cigarettes the whole time while they all at spaghetti and drank water. You could have made some serious money betting on me. I'm pretty sure most of them didn't even think I would show. Plus I beat some of my younger cousins which was cool. Of course my 60 year old cousin beat me.Mrs. SLB wants to do this one in the fall. I hope the Rams are in town.

I also may or may not have a bottle of muscle relaxers in my pocket right now.

It has also been brought to my attention that I came in 554 place in my division (males 40-44) which sounds much more impressive than 10 thousand and something.

GB: Bob, how was the half marathon?!

SLB: Great! I came in 554th place! In my division...

So is the skinflint going to buy you a present now or what?
He is godfather to our youngest son and spoils him rotten along with the other kids. I even tell him he doesn't need to be buying all 6 of them such extravagant gifts for Xmas but he does anyway. He's not the tightass, she was.

I walked the first half of that (including a detour into the portalet where I smoked some pot and then hauled asssss out of there before anybody could turn me in), rounded the half-way pole and ran the balance. So I bet my splits were bifurcated.

Nice. What was this, three years ago?Looks like you took down Vijay Mungara too. Probably an Intel dork.

Yeah, your notebook is pretty up to snuff. Three years ago this June. I've been a little...lazy.

I'd like to do another one, but haven't really done much to enter.

Found out today that little bentley #2 is also going to be a boy. AngryWife is, uh, well honestly, she's a bit angry about it.
Sometimes you thank God for unanswered prayers. Girls squeal and are bossy and whiny and squeal and they get just as dirty as boys but in their pink dresses and white knee socks and when they notice they're dirty, the dirt has to go NOW or they squeal!Boys are so much easier. footnote - I actually don't have any squealers but one of our drivers comes over on Sundays with his 2 daughters who have mastered the squeal for any reason and no reason and I want to run them over.

My wife came home with a new bottle of wine last night called Menage a Trois. Just now she opened it and made a point of telling me how awesome it was.

Ain't it a shame that women don't understand subtext? FML.
