Kids: Have the second one, or stick with an only child? I've heard many regrets expressed at going for the two-point conversion instead of kicking the XP.

Our first was great. Started sleeping through the night at 3 months, happy baby all the time, and at three years old now is still really well behaved and a really smart kid.Our second is a nightmare at 9 months right now, constantly crying and screaming for attention and we're still only at about a 75% sleep the night rate. I will be able to answer your question better in a few years when all this baby crap is done, but right now I'd say stick with one. Although, on the other hand, our oldest really likes being a big sister, so there's that.

This is pretty much where we're at at 14 months. Sleeps/eats like a champ, great with other people, loves going in the water, or playing with animals. We don't even need to get her asleep before we put her down anymore, we just put her in the crib with her stuffed dog and turn out the lights.My wife knows a woman who's kid is 16 months and he's never slept for more than 3 hours at a stretch in his entire life. That sounds like a ####### nightmare.

If you want another one, go for it. But don't be afraid to stop at one. Don't fall for that 'only child' crap. I love my son but sometimes I want to strangle him, whereas his older sister has always been a breeze.
 
It's worked out for us. First was a boy - blond hair and blue eyed like his Dad (when his Dad had hair). Secon was a girl, dark haired and dark eyes like her Mom. Different personalities but similar in many ways. Both can be difficult or easy depending on the situation and what's going on. It's tough at times - taking both out by yourself at their young age is a challenge, but overall it's been positive.

I was vehemently against another kid particularly with all of the problems and expense that came with it. Hell, I had to miss my annual golf trip. That sucked. Anyway, I'm happy I did now because they play together all the time and aren't bugging me while I browse Facebook for old high school girlfriends.

We have a 4 year old and a 15 month old, both boys. The first year of baby 2 was by a long shot the most difficult of my life, with demands from work, wife, and both kids basically eating every second of every day. It is finally starting to get easier.We have to spend a ton of energy keeping #1 from hurting #2. #1 has still not really adjusted to having to share Mama with #2 and it comes out in a lot of behavior I'd really rather avoid.All of that said, I think I would still do it again because 1) I think it's good life lessons for kids to learn how to cooperate/compete with a sibling; 2) they will entertain each other once #2 is old enough to be more interactive; and 3) they will hopefully have a lifelong relationship that will be a source of comfort and strength as they age. But it doesn't change how hard it has been since #2 was born.
 
Listing the house for 184k. We paid 214k in November 2002 and put about 20k in improvements in. I think I'm going to be drunk. :X

You could try moving from Denver to Seattle where the equivalent of your modest 300k house now costs over 500k.
