GM's thread about nothing (37 Viewers)

So my friend asked me to perform her second wedding ceremony. She is marrying a bum that she has known three months. Do I just do it, or be one of those people who takes a stand. I mean, she's going to make this mistake whether I'm involved or not.
What are the rules in Maine about performing marriages?
Only need to be a notary public.
 In California we take it a little more seriously. I had to send money to people on the internet.

So I spent about 3 hours last night trying to figure out why one of our Direct TV boxes wasn't working. Tried to reset it, called customer service etc. Finally the guy on the phone said he would send somebody out to look at it today. My kid just texted me: "one of the gardeners clipped the cable under the hedge yesterday"

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN 5 YEARS THOSE PINCHE PENDEJOS HAVE CUT A CABLE WHILE TRIMMING.

I'm going to have the guy who teaches Spanish next door write out how to say something like "Watch Out For the Cable, Jorge" so I can make a sign.

Trust me, if I could claim to be under qualified, I would.

LOOK AT ME - I HAVE A HEDGE!!!

:lmao: :bag:About 2 weeks ago, I get a picture text from an unknown number. It was a SLB-esque drawing of a stick figure eating a freeze pop with an unproportionate schlong hanging there
Unproportionate???? I'm insulted.

Hey - I hope you have heard this already and this isn't how you are first hearing this news......I am getting remarried. I was wondering if you would marry us. No pressure...if you don't feel comfortable, no worries. The date is September 10th. Let me know, future bride
I think I can do that. I know I have one save the date card at home for a September wedding, but I think it is 9/3. Glad to hear you have found someone – though I gotta ask, haven’t you known each other for only a few months? You don’t seem like the type to be in a rush.
Thanks. Let me know for certain if you can do it. Yes, it has been only a few months and, typically, I am not one to rush into anything. One nice thing about dating at this age and place in life is you know what you want, you know what you don't and you are happy to vocalize it. It cuts down on lots of BS. It is quick but it feels really easy and natural. We were both married for a long time and know/understand mistakes we each made. I also think that when you are dealing with jobs, kids and exes, your character flaws show pretty quickly. The bottom line is he makes me happy.
What is wrong with people? She's known him 3 months and they're already living together. He's a recovering alcoholic who drinks "only a little," is coming off a bankruptcy, and can't wait to merge their two families together. Christ.

:lmao: What happened to Sconch?

Sconch was clipped for some unknown reason...much like the aforementioned cable.

Just do it. Not your problem. If you don't do it someone else will.

Should come back as "Greysyn"

I just typed GMTAN on FB and got this guy: Mumu GM-Tangerang Slaludihatiampemati

The good news is now I have an Indonesian friend.

I am at my daughters gymnastic class.

It never ceases to amaze me the endless prattle that comes out of women's mouths. Why the #### can't they sit here quietly and enjoy their child's activity?

ok, which one of you is Matt that just friended me on FB?
Sammy Bronkowitz texted me to let you know it was him. He's currently having a nice season, also for reasons unknown
How come none of you can keep from getting clipped? My notebook only has so many pages.
:goodposting:I think I've only been suspended once ever. And it was for three whole days. I learned my lesson. :scaredstraight:

I have it in mind to have a yard sale next weekend, but I have no idea how to price the stuff. Anyone had one recently? Is there a rule of thumb on how to price items? Like a certain percent of what was originally paid?
Is it a getting rid of stuff sale or a making money sale?
