GM's thread about nothing (40 Viewers)

I was apparently bitten by a spider on the back of my knee. It's gotten progressively bigger as the day has gone on, and is about the size of a silver dollar at this point. It's also really, really hard. I'm convinced that there are eggs in there.
Oh, jesus christ....whatever you do, avoid the doctor and post about it on a message board.I'd have severed the leg by now.
I went to a doctor one day because I had a tick on me.
:lmao:I figured out after about an hour that it wasn't anything dangerous, but that didn't stop me from obsessing about it all day.

Just back from the beach. I wish it was to make a return trip for the move, but instead, it's to come home to continue working on the house, something I've put off until recently. Kitchen cabinets need two coats of paint on the back to fully transform from the black they used to be, to the white which was suggested. Hottub gone now and the new railing is almost finished on that deck. Minor things to do here and there as well to likely have the house on the market by July 1st. Bad news is, the market/comps have dropped the likely price of my house by $20k since December. I might still be here a while if I don't accept somewhat of a lowball offer eventually.

I usually go fishing with people who know what they're doing, but with my buddy buying a new boat and knowing less than me, I've become the trip planner, rigger, boat driver/trainer, first mate, and pretty much the guy calling the shots... to a degree, considering it's not my boat. I do have another guy giving me instructions on where to go and giving me advice after my trip reports, but it's a learning experience for sure. First trip was miserable, second trip only slightly better, etc., but we did alright this weekend. Seas were rough as hell, but we made our way out 25 miles anyway and came home with a nice catch on Sunday. Fresh snapper last night for dinner, and blackfin tuna on my plate tonight. It's not considered as good as yellowfin, but I made sashimi tonight and also cooked a steak, neither of which would be distinguishable by 90% of the population, maybe more. I need to brush up on my fish identification because while amberjack is out of season here, we threw back a 30 lb plus almaco jack which wasn't because I crossed that up. Easy mistake to make for just about anyone, but not until I reviewed the picture we took on the boat did I realize it. I asked my "mentor" to receive confirmation on the bad news/decision.

Maybe one day it'll be a 5-10 minute drive to do that stuff instead of a 3.5 hour one.

Very cool. I would like to see some pics.

Since I've decided I don't "know" Amanda H., Facebook is suggesting that I "may know" a number of Frosty's other female Facebook friends.

Also, it says I may know Truck and Aaron

Who'd you get? Any good ones?

Frosty, hi. How's the Kittenball season shaping up?
It's just one tournament, not a season, and I don't actually get to play in it just watch my brother and some friends of his, but I'm looking forward to it. Pretty banner year for meat raffles though.

After 2 1/2 years I'm finally filling out financial information for my divorce so we can get the papers finalized. Because I still pay everything for my ex, I just had to fill out hers, too. After spending the last 3 hours going through bank statements, my suspicions are confirmed. She spends a freaking boatload of my money.

So, there were 16 hours of daylight today in Seattle which coincided with a beautifully sunny 75 degree day. I spent 13 of those hours at work, 1 more driving to and fro said work and the remaining 2 either sleeping, getting ready for work or shovelling food in my mouth once I got home.

Yay

Do what now?
I'm in Seattle a few times over the next couple weeks. Happy to show you what I mean, although the last time I drank with a FBG, he fell face first on the sidewalk and got roadrash on his bald head.

I know I sent you a PM, but I just started to wonder if you were talking about fishing or the remodeling.

That's nuts. Just...nuts. Sorry you had to go through that. Very unfair, IMO.

Good thing is everything i paid counts toward alimony like we've been divorced the whole time, so I only have to keep paying her for a few more years. Where's that drunk thread again?I can't wait to be done so I can buy a boat that won't be half hers.

:censored: Why now and not a year ago or two years ago??

Because I'M SURE YOU WERE ALL CONCERNED ABOUT THIS, JR was a perfect angel today. Looked out the window the whole time on the Austin/Houston leg and slept pretty much the whole way from Houston to Charleston. Never even had to break out the DVD player. It was unbelievable. We got here, checked in, and took him down to the beach. We were worried because he'd never been near an ocean before, but he hopped right in (fully clothed) and had a great time for over an hour. I'm sure that the people that got on the elevator with us at this hoity toity resort and saw the soaking wet, mud covered two year old in nothing but a diaper are deeply worried about the hillbillies coming to town. I'm chugging Tecate, sitting on the back porch and thinking about how life is grand.ETA - I'm also thinking about peeing off the balcony. It's one of my greatest joys in life. I fear that someday I'm going to get on a hotel blacklist and never be allowed to stay above the first floor.
:lmao:
