Conversely, I've read reviews that said the new Winnie the Pooh is not horrible. At 68 minutes, seems quite tolerable. I still don't want to go. Meanwhile, the oldest is all about HP, wanted in on some It All Ends midnight showing action. #1 son, you're about to learn an abject lesson in compromise. Like a few of you here, I'm invested in uranium miners. I've also documented here how so many friends have had cancer or have died in the last few years. There are many more in the neighborhood that passed away earlier or beat cancer. My Aunt with cancer lives in the neighborhood. These are just the people I know and off the top of my head.
Then I see this posted on FB by a GB that lived farther up the creek in Florissant.

OK, if I start that thread in the FFA I'll get laughed at for years and probably get my man card privileges revoked. But my geeky science son - GB him, not an ounce of cool in his scrawny body - is pretty pumped up we've spent the last two summers on an island with a nature preserve. He's been going out every morning taking digital photos and videos of different birds; he's making a dvd as a summer project for school. He's up to 42 distinct species.
I'll be happy to delete if this post caused to furrow your eyebrows and scratch your head.

Hate for one of the big contributors to miss out because the spots were taken by Jetsfan484, RomoLvr8, and ACForumJrModerator16.
Then again, most of us are pretty lazy. Might end up needing 10 or 12 last minute replacements.

I'd check it out. My grandmother was a huge bird lover (grew up in upstate NY and spent a lot of her life in the NE including Maine)and my mom, aunt and sister share her love in it. I think birds are pretty neat and though I don't know much about 'em, I like to look at them. Seeing Bald Eagles fly overhead in Portland is one of my greatest treats in life.No, I'm not high.

Absolutely no need to cap it at 14, either. We can pare down rosters a little bit, add head coaches and even consider doing a max of 3 Flex Defensive Players who can score an arseload of points instead of team defense. This would give teams more options to score if they are light elsewhere....help improve themselves, etc.Again, all just ideas at this point, but I think we could innovate and make it fun without it becoming a total farce, like LABS crazy Bizaro League Scoring System, where the worst performing players are coveted the most.:(At the risk of being terribly elitist, this (or an alias factored version of this) should be used if there are more than 14 people wanting in the league.

Lived there for awhile. Not much to speak of. Fantasy Island shut down yet?ETA: Artpark? I grew up in that area. Drank far too much beer and smoked far too much bud in that place until one of my friends ate too many mushrooms and climbed the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge and, well...I prefer to remember the good times, not the sad ending. Also saw Dylan there too. It's a great little venue for outdoor shows. What are you doing there?

When the family imploded, I moved around a lot in that area until I went to college. Lived in Youngstown, Lewiston, Grand Island, Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Amherst. You name it.I can't believe FI is still open. Last I saw the place was a death trap waiting for a lawsuit.

Everyone has to put in the $5 or whatever for the sit, but instead of money, say what prize you'd deliver to the winners. For example, I would promise to overnight the winner two live lobsters and the 2nd place finisher a Reese's tshirt.

Schtick in lieu of entry fees (other than what it would cost to run the site) would be awesome. Would need to have 1 person be the "escrow" so as not to ruin any surprises. Could be like GMTANFF and Secret Santa rolled into one. Hell, since I can't access the site from work, I'll throw out the following...GM, your call on what you think:Whoever ends up in the league can email me what schtick items they will provide as entry fee. What you provide will determine your draft order (i.e. The best member's items (ha ha) will get draft position 1 and the worst ones will get the last draft position.
