GM's thread about nothing (37 Viewers)

If any of you guys in here like money, I recommend betting the Saints this weekend. I could post a real long writeup as to why I like them, but no one would read it anyway. g'luck
Give me a synopsis. Was thinking about playing Saints 1st half big. due to the fact that the Saints played last friday andTexans played Monday. Plus the Saints 1st team offense played horrible last week. Whenever this happens, Brees is a madman the next week
Texans down two starting linemen, and coming off a very short week. Arian Foster just started practicing, will play but if he gets more than 15-20 plays I'd be shocked. Saints blitzed some crazy amount of times last week, expect more of the same this week. If Schaub takes a couple hits early, nfw you leave him in this game to get banged up, that would be season over. And I do expect him to get hit.Texans defense still learning the 3-4, guys playing out of position. Texans corner Joseph still banged up, that means the worst cb in football gonna see the Saints offense. The only thing that has me mildly concerned is these two teams play in week 3, so the saints may be reluctant to leave something in their pocket for regular season, but being that their offense didn't look too sharp last week, coupled with an extra few days practice, I think Texans gonna get pummelled here early. Also, Texans RB depth is very shoddy right now - gonna have to play a few guys with limited/no experience - not sure how they are going to pick up blitz packages saints run (heard they blitzed soething like 18 times the first half last week)

LOL at NFL preseason gambling. :o
some money to be made, but looking at personnel isn't really the way to do it. some coaches believe in trying to win pre-season games; others couldn't care less. if you look at the pre-season records of the head coaches, it's pretty easy to figure out who tries to win and who doesn't. find the right matchup and you've got a pretty decent bet.

If they were playing with the joker in the deck, someone could've made five-of-a-kind.
Well yeah, but I'm assuming there was another "almost" hand which could've beaten him to mention it in the first place. Also, he could've been playing Omaha or Stud, not Hold Em.

My wife's 10 year HS reunion is this weekend. I've only met one person and she doesn't keep in touch with many more. Will it be as awkward as I think it's going to be? It there typically a "corner" for husbands that don't know anyone and just want to drink, touch wangs and talk sports or something?
good luck to you chief.
:lmao:Wait, zooks is going to be there?
Should we car pool, or would you rather we just meet up at the bar? I'll be wearing white pants and a dragon shirt. Can't wait to meet your MRS. and her friends.
We can just meet at the bar. No sense in carpooling when your charms may work on some impressionable, 28 year old ex-Catholic school girl.

Drinking at 3 - Jack and Ginger. Love working from home. Heading out to meet Raider Nation at the bar later it appears. GLTM

ETA - I make uncomfortable phone calls on Friday afternoons to clients who I know I'm about to get in a nasty argument with. So a few drinks loosens me up a bit.

I got the impression that he had no quads, and nobody else was close. I dunno. An Omaha BBJ wouldn't be 140K. And I think YSR said it was HE.

Agreed Omaha BBJ. Stud? Maybe.

The Mr. has been at a local Poker Room for going on 8 hours now. He texted me earlier that he was *this close* to the $140,000 Bad Beat Jackpot -- he had quads, but no on beat him. Sigh.I'm allowed to go to sleep, right? Or do I wait until he gets home to make sure he's okay?

Does FBG have an 'iPad Thread'? Or does anybody here know anything about iPads?

Question: How do I delete multiple emails at once? Currently, I have to hit 'edit' and then select each email one at a time. Very time consuming and annoying.

Google took me to a video of a guy who downloaded an app called "Deletemail" by something called "Cydia", but I have no idea how to install that on an iPad.

Help?
Mercy bump.
I don't have an ipad, but here's what the internet says: http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-help/4106-getting-rid-emails.html
Thanks, GB, but that just teaches me how to delete them one by one...which I can do. Looks like Apple didn't provide users a way to delete multiple emails at the same time. You have to annoyingly click each little email one by one by one then hit delete.Neat product. fanboi's of this device perplex me.

I'm leaving for lunch. I'll go home, grab my ipad and spend the rest of my workday working on an answer for you.

Anything more exaggerated then the size of hail? Heard Iowa had "baseball sized hail".
Certainly not my 14 inch penis.
:lmao:I haven't had internet for a few weeks, and with the new baby have no time to write in here let alone catch up. I'll leave it with the previous comment and extrapolate the last month from that.btw- Bentley >>>> hi. If it's not too late, make other arrangements with that impending baby or rue the crazy. YWIA.

You guys know a straight flush beats 4 of a kind, right?

30 years ago, my aunt Judy was murdered and 3 others were badly injured in a shooting spree. I have little recollection of her other than old photos and some 8mm films since I was only 3 years old. I do remember my mom being a wreck for a long time after this though.

Her killer was denied parole today. Sometimes the justice system does work, I guess. My family is doing a little happy dance today :pickle:  :bye:

Nice article this morning about the victims (It might get dusty so don't feel the need to read it)

And now back to your regularly scheduled GMTAN hilarity

If you're smart, you'll take a job in another state for the first 6 weeks before bringing the rest of the family out :bowtie:

Anyone ever get that feeling when they are half way through their first pint of scotch and you question whether you should drink the other half and you know if you drink the other half something bad is going to happen. But you just go forth anyway, as if it's impossible to stop?

Hoping this isn't just me here.

Also - drinking Jack and Ginger out of an empty powerade bottle because I didn't do any dishes this week and I'm out of clean cups.

Dude - bad scene last time I drank Jack Daniels. Really bad. Arrested, fighting, cops, strip clubs, getting thrown out of my apartment, etc. This is the first time I've dipped back into since the "incident". I'm an uncontrollable drunk. I went from friendly and the older I got, the more angry drinking made me.

Replace scotch with <insert any alcohol here> and I think I know where you're coming from.I say go for it

Yep. One of the guys at the table had 7h8h, and there was a 9h and Jh on the table. Hence the "this close".He also informed me that starting today, this Poker Room is dropping the BBJ to include full houses (Aces full of Jacks and higher). So he's been moping around all day, convinced that someone is going to win it.

LOL - stopped at the ATM after the liqour store just in case I got hungry later. Last time I forgot to do this I called a taxi to drive me 50 minutes to the casino. Paid him 67 dollars for each way of the drive. Ended up walking in, eating at Johnny Rockets (glorified fast food) walking back out and calling the cabbie to pick me back up and bring me home. I had delusions of grandeur on the way there - thinking I'd find a hooker, roll a 10 while I was on the 10 with a 500 dollar odds bet in craps, get a burger and bring her home with me....went there - lost 90 dollars playing craps in 5 minutes, dropped 10 at the restaraunt and another 67 bucks to come home. Again - I make bad decisions when I drink. This time - I thought ahead :thumbup:Probably going to walk to the bar down the road in a few.

part of me wishes there was a bar close enough to walk to. part of me is really glad there's not.

I was kind of sad that I have to miss the last booze cruise of the season to attend a weak-### minor league picnic in the park with work, but then I realized I'll just meet up with everyone after and play catch-up. Odds of drunk pics: HIGH
