You mean First and Ten?ETA:

1st & Ten is an American situation comedy that aired between December 1984 and January 1991 on the cable television network HBO. Featuring series regulars Delta Burke and veteran Reid Shelton, it was one of cable's first attempts to lure the lucrative sit-com audience away from the "Big Three", by taking advantage of their freedom to include occasional cursing and nudity.
I think I remember Delta Burke showing bush in one episode. anyone remember this?
nah, she just had OJ in a scissor lock

Good luck, BL. That really sucks.Sometimes I wonder if this thread isn't some kind of evil entity that seems good and fun, but in reality is spreading mystery to the participants.

We decided to dial back our Direct TV a bit. One of the channels we are losing is SyFy, which is going to cut back on my giant shark/squid/octopus/alligator/crocodile/piranha movie watching.

Anyway the person in question admitted to "using" a photo of a girl in a one-piece bathing suit...a photo that was on the front of the box that a pool raft came in.
I've done worse.
I have a vague recollection of a night in college involving a pack of Marlboro Lights, a pint of Brown Derby vodka, a Famous Barr underwear ad in the Post and a tub of Country Crock.
I know this isn't the same thing, but holy crap did I wank it to Baywatch a lot. Since I didn't have a VCR in my room in became appointment wacking, too. I'd always try to be home and my friends gone by 7pm every Sunday.

My kid is friends with some girl on FB with the name Siouxsie. But it isn't pronounced like Siouxie Sioux of the Banshees. She pronounces it See-yook-see. :loco:

ETA: I think it is actually Say-yook-see.

Like I'm going to fall for this:

"You left your shirt here. If you give me your address, I'll mail it back to you"

Yeah, right. Like I'm giving you my address. I'm hoping you were too drunk to find my place again.

I may have used grainy photos of Donna Rice in a bathing suit from a copy of National Enquirer at my grandmother's house.

I am so sorry about your mother. Thoughts and prayers for both you and her. My dad had a stroke last year. I'm not sure if it's similar or not. He has a cluster of grape-like arteries in his brain that could rupture again anytime. At the onset, he lost mobility and speech. The doctors didn't perform any surgery. They determined that the bleeding had stopped. Within a few days, he regained most of his mobility, but couldn't remember words. He would talk in one or two word sentences. He was also really emotional for about a year. He'd cry for any reason.

He received physical therapy and speech therapy. After about 5 months, he had an epileptic seizure. He had been working outside and walked in the house with his face all bloody and banged up. He didn't remember anything happening to him. This didn't seem to have any long term effect, besides pissing him off because he wasn't allowed to drive for 6 months. He's been on anti-seizure medication, and something else related to the stroke, but today you wouldnl't even notice he had had a stroke, other than hesitating once in a while for a word.

Has a great rack.

Baywatch? Big deal. I've used The Price is Right.

So, it's not good. She'll probably make it through the night

Brain bleed. That has shown up on two CAT scans - one at he Podunk hospital in my hometown, and another at Blodgett here in Grand Rapids. Er...Spectrum Health...oh shuddup, it's always been Blodgett you faceless soulless conglomerate. Anyway, doing another CAT scan at 4 a.m.

So this is a kick in the nuts. My brother has an adopted ten year old boy. Bro is like 55, and for some reason he and his second wife (same age) decided to take in a teenager's kid as their own back when he was an infant. They were out riding quads today (I'm sure you guys are thinking whiskey tango foxtrot, but it's rural Michigan - I got my first mini-bike in kindergarten). Bad accident. Don't know the details yet. Little guy has a ruptured spleen. Needed emergency surgery tonight.

They can't do any procedures for 48 hours because mom is on blood thinners for her heart condition. So it's a damned if you do damned if you don't deal. They've taken her off that because they may need to operate on Thursday to relieve the pressure. If she makes it that far.

Mom has a Living Will. Sister brought it with her. She discussed with three of the four kids. Naturally, my brother - who never wanted to have that tough conversation - wants to be a hero and argue with us. Too ####### bad, dude. You wanted a say, you had several years to get your opinion in. Now we have to do what she explicitly said we should do. If it comes to that.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Well it may not come to that. Her blood pressure is dropping. Might lose her. I've never cried so hard in my life. GD it.

**:bighug:**Hoping I can all this helpful

 I'm so sorry, Bobby. Know you have a lot more important stuff on your mind, but please come in here to vent, rant, anything you need.

Sorry, BL. Don't look forward to the day either of my parents has something life threatening or passes. I still delude myself into thinking that they'll live forever.

Sorry for the developments with your mom (and brother) BL. Here's hoping your mom pulls through, but if she doesn't, kudos to her for having the foresight to document her wishes and sparing her children the anxiety of having to guess at what she would have wanted.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for her and healing for your family.

Yeah, so the deal is no meds...let nature take its course. And for some odd reason, her blood pressure just came up. Bottom # is still low.

So, we're sitting around speculating what is going on (uncle is a doctor, couple nurses in the family), and my nephew - bless him, dude is a rock - grins sheepishly and says, "Well, she probably rallied after I told her the Tigers won Game 3".

My mom is a HUGE sports fan. Decent athlete, used to play from the men's tees to a 5 handicap. Won the local country club championship nine straight years back in the day. Loves golf, baseball and football. The only time I ever remembering her resorting to corporal punishment was the day I didn't wake her up in time to see the start of Tiger-As ALCS (1972). *WHACK* upside the head. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? IT's THE PLAYOFFS!!!"

We talk or email every week, but there were four times a year we spoke every single day: Masters, US Open, Open Championship, and the PGA Championship. The sports bond that a lot of you share with your old man*, I've always had that with my mother.

*(it's stocks and politics with my father and I; sports sometimes, but he just does that because he knows I enjoy it, not really a passion for him)

Yesterday I was out hiking with the family, but during a summit break I caught some cell phone coverage (it's iffy in parts of the Berkshires). Called Mom to see how she was doing. Was excited for Game 2 of the playoffs, and particularly happy it was 4 p.m. start so she could see both that and the Lions on MNF. We talked about how great it was to have Matt Stafford, the QB we have waited for/hoped for over half of a century.

Tell ya what...I don't want that to be the last conversation....but if that was it, I'm pretty content.
