GM's thread about nothing (40 Viewers)

Riddle me this. A local bookie in my area has cut a deal with some casino or off-shore book that has a website. The local now has a website that mirrors the odds and props etc available at the web-based book. One can place bets through this website, though no money is ever dealt with online. All collections and payoffs are done the old-fashioned way - in person. Local supposedly has to pay a per-bet fee to the web-based book.

So is this a great way to finally get props and other off-the-wall bets (systems even?) through your local, or is this basically a guaranteed-to-be-busted-soon thing since there is a pretty nice public paper trail?
I've been approached with the same deal so i am very interested in the answer.
We had a similar deal here in New Orleans get busted by the feds last year. http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2010/04/letten_announces_indictments_o.html

This Series is going to give me a heart attack. Did you here about that guy who bet 250 on the Cards to make the Series and 250 to win it last month? He got 400500-1 and 999-1. I bet he is really going nuts right now.
I brought this up at the bar yesterday and it turns out it is a friend of a friend from my (old) neck of the woods that made the bets.link

Shuke - My 7 year old has the occasional accident as well. I would not worry about it unless it becomes a routine, then go and see his doctor. My son had bowel issues that caused him to not feel the signals from his bladder, but some medicine and treatment took care of it.
Can you elaborate on the bowel issues? My son has a history with problems so this is concerning.
My son had constipation issues as a toddler, pretty bad ones. The way the doctor described it, in terms I could understand, is that his bowels have stretched out putting pressure on nerves that control your bladder control, making them numb. Therefore his body would not tell him when his bladder was full, so he would have wetting issues. So we basically got him cleaned out, regulated his diet and added medicine to make things move more smoothly, and had to wait almost a year for his body to repair itself back to normal and not be stretched out. He is good now. If this is only twice, I would not jump to this conclusion, just something to keep in mind.TRE> :bye:

I'm sure this has been asked, but has he hedged his bet?

Not sure. My friend (shockingly) hasn't seen him around. He's just a kid, like 27.HATE

If any of you guys know anything about gardening, please see my thread about the raised beds I am installing this week.

My link
All I know about gardening is that for best results, use a dildo.
This little gem?

Good to know.

I thought you were being coy, and it was you.

I'm sure he's in vegas. I can't even imagine what his last month has been like. Absolutely increadible. I would have been in vegas hedging the NLCS

I got my flu shot last Monday. I did feel sick for a few days, but feel fine now. I started getting them about five years ago because I have a lot of students hopping back and forth to Mexico every week. I also have an industrial sized bottle of hand sanitizer on my desk. Same reason.

I'm pretty convinced this is the worst possible thing you can do.

So one my classes for next semester is scheduled in the dreaded 9am slot. I'm worried it won't fill, so I'm thinking of putting porn on the reading list and spreading the word via exstudents that we're reading porn.

Thing is, I can justify the book in the context of the class. Sure it's an outside-the-box reading, but I can make a convincing argument for it (the guy who wrote it is a famous/highly respected theorist, etc.).

Don't know if I can pull the trigger on this one though. The classes would either be hilarious or eerily, creepily quiet.

Well, the school won't keep soap in the bathrooms because the students keep trashing the dispensers, smearing liquid soap on the mirrors and dumping the rest on the floor. What's wrong with hand sanitizer?

Theoretically, it can cause the bacteria/virus/whatever to evolve into more resistant strains.Edit to add: I imagine there is a state code of some sort that requires soap to be in any public restroom. I cannot imagine any semblance of child well-being where their caretakers were required to walk around with e coli on their hands.

Not to mention that your own defenses never learn to fight off anything on its own.

My daughter discovered a bat under our patio umbrella yesterday.

No shtick..what do I do? My kids are absolutely terrified that I am going to get rabies.
They're pretty lethargic during the day. You could pretty much do whatever you want.As a youf I spent summers painting houses. We'd run into them quite a bit under the gutters. I liked to paint them and watch them flop down to earth. Crap, does this mean I tortured animals?
