GM's thread about nothing (45 Viewers)

Well, she's totally a daddy's girl so she misses me a ton. She wanted me to join trick or treating tonight, so I manned up and went... With my daughter, my ex wife, her parents, my now ex girlfriend and her daughter. FML
####ing brutal.

I didn't see my daughter at all this weekend because her mom's parents were in town and we have an agreement that when the grandparents come into town they get Anna 100% of the time. FMLJust made it back home in time to throw some money on the game tonight and I'm now chugging apple pie moonshine :banned:
Wow. Kudos for manning up through what was surely not an awkward experience in the least. :banned:

Jesus, and I thought I had it uncomfortable trick or treating with my son and with my ex, her sister and her mother.

What's up with Timshochocet and these drafts? Seem like a huge commitment.
:goodposting: WHO HAS THIS MUCH TIME? :whoosh:
Not to defend Tim, because he is somewhat ridiculous, but I've wondered the same thing about the shtick meisters who work the shark pool and political threads under alias accounts. Yes, they're much funnier and more noble than Timmy, but I still don't get where they get the time.

Three bags of candy from Sams Club, preparing for a huge turnout of kids (based on the number riding around this condo complex at every hour of the day). I'm not sure if the parents here still think that my drug-dealing BIL lives here, but we have had ONE trick-or-treater.Pack> ankle is better. Still very swollen and bruised but I'm elevating and icing when I can. I can bear weight, so unless things don't get better, I think I'll be okay. Thanks for asking.

I went out as a procotologist. Gave free exams all night,
Is this real?
:goodposting: And is it an exam or a massage? This is important.

BGP is a strange guy. I mean we have a lot of weirdos but I generally get where they're coming from. But beej? WTF? I forgot how...unique his viewpoints were.

I was looking forward to Halloween this year seeing it as an opportunity to meet some of the neighbors but like GM, I preferred to hand out candy. As is St. Louis tradition, I didn't even ask for jokes this year. The boys got back and were anxious to show me their haul. They were particularly excited about the microwave popcorn somebody was handing out. The door bell rings again (our obnoxious doorbell that reminds me of Jennifer Marlow's) and there are three boys there. They are all ready to tell jokes but I'm too quick shoving handfuls of candy in their bags. I see one kid fumbling to get a can of green beans out of his bag and he exclaiming "dang it!" after I shut the door. I'm thoroughly confused so I ask Mrs. SLB about it.

Me: WTF, one of those kids had a can of green beans?

Mrs SLB: LOL, that's a trick.

Me: Wat

Mrs. SLB: That's a trick.

Me: Is he going to throw it through our window or something.

Mrs. SLB: NO! THAT'S A TRICK! Some guy is handing them out up the street. If a kid gets one, he has to give it to somebody else for candy.

Me: Yeah, see that' not the point of "trick or treat".

Mrs. SLB: THAT'S THE TRICK!11!!!

Me: See, a kid says "trick or treat" and if he doesn't get a treat then....

Mrs. SLB: Why do you have to over analyze everything?

Me: :headexplode:

One thing they've learned recently is babies who cry a lot turn out to be shy, while babies that are quieter turn out more outgoing. It comes from how developed there stimulation systems are. Babies with underdeveloped stimulation systems need MORE stimulation to function in life, so they become outgoing to compensate, even thrill-seekers. Babies with normal stimulation systems don't need to do that, so they grow up being more reserved.

Outgoing people are that way because they are flawed.

Some of the things found here might be able to help.

Real in that I grabbed a lot of ###? Yes! I limited my exams to hot guys and inquistive girls. Gloves don't really snap the way they do on movies. I kept busting the cuffs off them. I did find a worthy injured patient to take under my wing for the night. His wounds heeled at one point but he was limping when I left him.

Limping or limp?

I have a weak left ankle - used to sprain it a good bit playing sports. I have a pair of clogs that I wear almost all the time in the winter and once every so often my ankle will roll when I'm wearing them. On two separate occasions it's resulted in a really, really bad sprain. This last time happened Thursday and I'm only now really able to walk without a major limp. :( As a side note for Tanner: all was going well with my recovery until one of my cats mistook my foot/ankle for a bedmouse this morning and pounced. Oof.

Guy is going to give up sports because he can't handle the emotional ups and downs. Almost called off his own wedding due to the Saints season, but luckly they won the Super Bowl, so he got married.
And had cake. Saints cake
And there's BGP. And Datonn gave up sports to play disc golf and lose weight.
