If you want to sound really smart, whenever someone talks about a car's horsepower, reply that HP is all well and good, but torque is the important measurement. They should all nod in agreement with your knowledge. If someone asks a question about it, roll your eyes and walk away.

Ironically, the higher its torque (to a point) the faster the Mustang will be (at least off the starting line).
I keep thinking you guys are talking about toques.

Pretend you're using a screwdriver/wrench. As you tighten the screw/bolt, you need to use more torque to turn it.So in a car commercial, they are describing that more power is dedicated to turning the axles, thus allowing you to tow more.
I'm not very good at this and am probably way off, but that's how I understand it.

short version: torque is low end pulling power, as opposed to quickness or high end speed. A Harely Davidson has a lot of low end torque, a Ninja has a lot of speed/quickness.be like comparing a Nosetackle to a DB.

Three things really bother me about this video:1. Who the hell let's the waitress be in charge of seasoning the food?
2. She carries the tray at head level, in front of her face, so she can breathe all over the entrees
3. She isn't very attractive, certainly not threadworthy
