Spent all afternoon in the ER because my wife had a debilitating headache. She is in a deep depression because they have been bad lately and I feel so helpless. Stress of everything we still need to do for Christmas is not going to help her.

Thanks. Yes, migraines. About a month ago her gyno gave her this insertable birth control thing that was supposed to space her periods out farther, in hopes that would help, but it only seemed to cause a 3 week long period and worse headaches. Then her doctor prescribed her Wellbutrin earlier in the week and she reacted adversely to it, so this week has been hell on her, culminating in unbearable pain and constant crying today.

Damn, that sucks.I know this sounds too simple, but try Bayer Migraine. My daughter gets really bad migraines, she uses Imitrex, but the stuff that works the best is actually Bayer for Migraines.Worth a shot.

Thanks for the recommendation. You sure you're nothing thinking of Excedrin Migraine? I don't think Bayer has a migraine-specific product. Even if it did, it's probably the same ingredient just marketed for a different indication, the same Excedrin Migraine is.

Yes. About 8 years ago Excedrin got FDA approval on migraines as an indication, so they put a different label on it and marked up the price.But I wouldn't tell this to anyone who is finding relief from it. Mind over matter and all that.

Actually the guest list was far different than I expected. Two of my best friends were there (who I met through my brother-in-law) and there weren't that many of the glamorous people there and the few that were kept to themselves. My wife told me "I'll drive" so I had one whiskey (crown on the rocks), one tequila (Tesoro shot), one vodka (Smirnoff and OJ), one rum (Captain & Coke), one wine (four buck chuck Shiraz), and one beer (blue moon). My kid was the hit of the party when i gave him a can of bud light and let him wander around with it, which he did for about half an hour. All-in-all it was a pretty good time.

She on anything for the depression?...my significant other has been/is still going through postpartum depression the past week and the Paxil has finally started to help. With all the treatments I'd assume she was, but if not get to the psychiatrist pronth and I wouldn't wish depression even on Timmy after this experience...totally not fun
