GM's thread about nothing (27 Viewers)

Now officially bored out of my teats. Wife went to bed due to a cold and the fact that she keeps hours like an Amish dairy farmer. Walked to the store with the intention of buying some "good" beer and maybe a couple of cheap cigars. Forgot the smokes but made it home with a couple of Fat Tires. Reg Lllama's Rockin' New Years Eve
Sounds like poor planning. I'm #### tootered and trying to hang on for 10 more minutes to make 2012. Also hoping Angrybaby decides to sleep through the night.
I've heard one theory that babies that cry a lot do so because they have a well above average sensory system. They are very sensitive to stimulus of all kinds, so they cry a lot. As the theory goes, they develop into highly intelligent children because their senses are able to pick up more on what's going on around them. They also develop into very shy and introverted children, because often there is too much stimulus for them to handle. They become the stereotypical "nerd", but could wind up in a high paying job in a technical field which is good.Again with the theory, children that don't cry as much have an underdeveloped sensory system. They develop a need to find more stimulus to keep them going. They grow into children that have trouble paying attention, because they never feel they are getting enough stimulus. Get get bored easily. They don't fare well in school. The need to find stimulus pushes them to become strong extroverts and party animals. Its an interesting theory. I don't really believe in it though.

So one of my favorite things is to wake up after a night of debauchery and read my FFA posts as if seeing them for the first time. Well, that has now been ruined by watching the videos I sent Thorn last last night. Good lord, my world will never be the same. :lmao:I think I called him a mother####er about 51 times and used the more general #### another 72 times. At one point I was mesmerized by how gigantic my finger looked on the video. Jebus, I'm an idiot. :lmao:
I was really hoping one of them was going to be you with panties on your head, but other than that, first rate.
I don't keep any spares at the bar...I'll throw a pair in my coat so I have them at all times. You know, just in case.

Remember tannerlllllamam gets grouchy when you don't get the number of l's correct when referring to him. So ALWAYS get it wrong.

Saw Young Adult the other day. I thought it was a really interesting character study of a damaged soul, and Patton Oswalt was excellent. But the best part about it was the use of Teenage Fanclub's "The Concept" throughout the film. Causedme to revisit Bandwagonesque, which I hadn't listened to in a while. Great album. angular
LOVE that album. Had it on cassette [insert 'you're old' joke here]
I'm not inserting anything when it comes to you.
:lmao: BURN!!!!
YAHHHHHHHH

He gets really mad when you pronounce it wrong. For years I was pronouncing it as if the first "l" were silent, and come to find out it's actually the second "l" that's silent.

Fensalk,What is your take on the incredible amount of alcohol consumption that seems to go with the regulars in this thread. Thanks in advance,RegLllama
What is my "take"? What is this? the jim rome thread? Hate that guy.
Pretty sure "take" precedes Jim Rome by several decades. Now we go to Beej in Crapchester...
Pretty sure he was the only one using it incessantly for a long time there, llllllmmmamama.

I think the Biggest Hot Mess in the GMTAN contest would be quite competitive.
It'd be like the worst/awesomest beauty pageant the world had ever seen. Except for those Thai ladyboy beauty pageants...I don't think anything can beat those.
Hot Messes to Avoid / ExpliotZooks - Best pound for pound value play

HJS - Solid veteran and looks great with panties on his head. But its like drafting a kicker in the 3rd round. Be wary

Thorn - Puking at his age = a top VBD play

Fish - Women choices may kill him at some point.

Stryker - Former top pick and solid veteran, But oops, baby.

GB being able to convince Mr. YSR that in order to watch all three 1:00 SEC games, we should go drink cold beer at Buffalo Wild Wings.

so I get up and jump in the shower yesterday morning. as I'm in there the wife asks "why is the toilet making that noise?". i open the shower door and see the toilet "bubbling". Then I look over and notice the not-so-clear water coming up through the tub drain. Look down and see the water is also no longer draining from the shower. I jump out of the shower, and tell her to go cut-off the washing machine and check the other bathroom. Yeah, it's flooded.

No biggie, just a blockage in the line. I grab my snake (NOT a euphemism) and go out to the clean-out on the high-side of the house. Open it up and water pours out. Run the snake through it, but never hit anything. It's only a 50' snake so I decide to go to the other end of the house and try to work back from that side (the low-end - where it leaves the house and heads out to the sewer). I unscrew the cap to that clean-out and water starts to bubble-up from the drain. I'll tell ya, there's no better way to start the new year than watching poop logs float across your yard.

Does my night at Tipsey's count for nothing? What about passing out in a golf cart? Throwing a lit joint on the lawn of the Hayword Police Station? What must I do to get your attention????!11

Big fan, here. It's where I go on Sunday mornings. They open at 9:30am on Sundays when it's NFL season. They offer $2 Bloodies and $5 breakfast wraps. Quite a bargain. The bartender this season was fantastic and would let us ring in 2-3 cheap Bloodies before the 11am cutoff. She would also give us any 'mis-pours', so I had free beer many days, including yesterday. My tab yesterday was $9.50. Not bad for 3.5 hours of football viewing. Not sure how Frosty got cut-off after 1 Coors Light. Must not be able to handle is booze like the rest of us pro-drunks. ;)

Sadly, I think there are pictures. :bag: I kept it between the lines this weekend. Not having a hangover for New Years is quite refreshing. Actually went running yesterday morning. Felt great.

Stryker, how far along are you? What's your due date? Wanna race? ;)

Happy new year to you all! I hope 2012 is not the end of time, but if it is, it has been an honor and a pleasure to waste my time on this message board and this thread with you all. The friendships I've made with you all has been a blessing and a surprise. Never really thought I'd care as much about people I don't really know, but I do and I wish you all nothing but the best for 2012.

:lmao: Had the same thing happen earlier this year. The worst part is that the only clean-out we have is right on our patio. My wife: "the house is pooping on our patio!"

Oh, I watched Pirahna last night on Showtime, start to finish. I gotta tell you...for what it was, I actually enjoyed it. Didn't take itself seriously and had just enough T&A to keep me watching. Hard to believe Elizabeth Shoe is reduced to these campy roles, but hey....she's nice to look at.

Great movie. Can't wait for the sequel.

Has that come out yet? I like how Christopher Lloyd left us hanging at the end. Also, who was that smoking hot chick that recruited Shoe's son to work on the boat? The one who died crossing the rope? She was absolutely splendid.

I watched it a few weeks back. It was good to see someone go back to the 80's movie plan.

Been trying to watch Forbidden Planet for the past few days. I'm up to the part where they bury the first dead guy. You can see how Star Trek was influenced by movies like this. It feels like a proto-Star Trek episode.

 Congrats GB!!!!! Very happy for you!We literally just found out on NYE morning. She's got an appointment tomorrow to confirm everything. We're thinking early September.Oh and you were left off the hot mess to avoid/exploit list because you've been going right at your ADP (solid mid first rounder, IMO). These are supposed to be situations to take advantage of. No disrespect intended ;)

Actually quite surprised how tame I've been the last few weeks. My wife wasn't feeling so hot last night, so she told me to go out and watch the Cowboys game with a friend. I did, but I came home at halftime. Just didn't feel like raging very hard. In the past, I would have used the hall pass to go bananas, especially with no work/kids to worry about. Maybe I'm growing up. Dr. told wife we're looking at July 24th. I've been terrified to say anything to anybody considering our experience last year. I knew better than to say anything before first tri-mester, but was just too excited to sit on it. This time, we both kept it really quiet and limited to just family. But after the check-up this week, everything looks good to go. Doc says everything looks great and to spread the news, so....HUZZAH!But man, I'm getting too old for this.

I remember that phone call and thought about it immediately once I found out. Really struggled about telling anyone but the excitement took over. Glll
