GM's thread about nothing (37 Viewers)

I got confused and couldn't figure out why all of a sudden so many people were posting in the drunk thread. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

Dan Fouts is a moron. I suppose I'm late to this party, but post game on the radio driving home he says that the Giants will be the favorites in the SB. I'm nothing close to a handicapper but I was shocked, thinking the Pats would be -3 to -6.

Just checked and the early line is Pats -3. Dumas.

Every time I advertise things on Craigslist I feel like some sort of superior life form. I advertised a bike part this afternoon, and I get this response

Im interested on the specialized stem. Pls. Let me know, thanks.

Mike
My response:

What do you want me to let you know?
I'm pretty sure that's not the best way to sell goods on Craigslist, but I can't help myself sometimes

Mom is a diehard Pats fan, dad is a Giants fan. Wouldn't mind seeing them battle it out for the next two weeks
Think your mom can take him?
Let's just say she's still dealing with the aftermath from the last time these two met in the super bowl

Pack, was your Mom sick? Sorry if this has been covered here or elsewhere.
First off, thank you to everyone for the well wishes, it's much appreciated.YSR, yes, she's been battling COPD and 2 other lung diseases for quite a few years now and was down to under 30% lung capacity. She fought for every breath. We almost lost her in July, but after about 3 weeks she came around. She decided then no more incubating, and placed a DNR in her record. It was tough watching her die yesterday and today, but it's what she wanted and she is no longer in pain.Called 911 yesterday around 11am, when we got to the hospital her Co2 was 130. That's as high as their machine goes. I think around 30 is normal. She died this afternoon around 1pm.
Sorry to hear that, my condolences
Nice to see you here GB.
Thanks

I made cream puffs earlier for wine night
This seems odd.
i think it's some kind of c o d e
No, literally cream puffs. Pics on FB, cause I'm that guy
Saw the FB pics of the party. What kind of shtick you guys working there?
:shrug:The host gets to choose the theme. This time it was black tie + champagne, but I thought that was obnoxious so just went with a shirt and sweater. When I hosted it was boxed wine. Someone's gotta keep things classy

Theme party? My theme would be "the party's not over until someone is pregnant".
Usually the "theme" is just the type of wine, but this time the high maintenance girl that hosted decided that she wanted everyone to dress up. This will be the last one that comes with a dress code

Looks like Chip Kelly will be staying in Oregon, thus saving GM from having to come up with a Halloween costume for another year.

Everything OK in your neck of the woods, jplvr?
I'm good. Destruction in a different area though. My stepfather knows people up there, so he's going to check. I might have to go there this afternoon or tomorrow to help out. Thanks for asking. How is it there?

Jerkbaby keeps kicking his socks off. If I didnt care so much about his well being, this little jerkass wouldny wear socks...
That's terrible.FYI, I'm watching my five month old sleep peacefully on the video monitor just as he's been doing for the last 3.5 hours.
I might drink myself to death when Samuel Jr. is born
No way, if you're anything like me, and I think you are, you'll be a great drunkdad. Much like Bentley
:lmao:
:thumbup:The good thing is that when they're really little and not sleeping, you wake up every morning feeling like you have a hangover. My philosophy's always been that if you're going to feel crappy in the morning anyhow, you might as well be in a good mood the night before.
Pretty good logic

So I'm finally finishing up my degree online through UT-Arlington. For some reason, none of the science classes I took transfer directly to UTA, so I'm taking freshman biology this semester. The whole first chapter is an overview of science. It spends a ton of time talking about science and religion and how they're not necessarily in conflict and how some people are scientists and religious and some people are scientists and atheists and it's not that big of a deal. I find this very weird. I went to high school in a small town in Texas and took biology at UT-Austin. I don't remember either of those classes needing to address the topic. Have the religious wackos protested to the point that this actually has to be covered in college classes everywhere, or is this just a quirk of this course?
Based on my alma mater's student body, I'm not sure they could decide on a single religion, much less incorporate it into their curriculum on purpose. Got to be a quirk.

Enjoying a Lime Cucumber Gatorade or "Limon Pepino" as it states on the label.

Welcome to Texas: where you can hydrate in two languages.

No issues as far as I've seen or heard, despite there having been tons of tornado warnings. Guess nothing touched down. I haven't even seen many branches down or anything like that.

Told the guys at work that I would be in late because I was 'taking my lady to breakfast'. But really, I just dropped the kids off at school, came right back home, marched my lady up stairs and proceeded to give her 12 seconds of horrendous loving. :excited:

Hi. I have a question and I was told the people in this thread could help.

Do any of you know what it's like to have your gadzooks ripped open?

TIA. Will answer yours.

Really sorry to hear it, Mr. Pack. Best wishes to you and your familiy.

:sadbanana: I tried to get jiggy with (that's what kids are calling it these days, right?) the wife this morning but she was too busy. Who doesn't have 4 minutes to spare?

Seriously."I know you're making breakfast. Just... would it kill you to wear a skirt every now and then?"

The other night Mrs Sac walks into the kitchen and says to my daughter and I, "OK, which one of you wants to work on my performance appraisal for me?"

She looks at the smirk on my face and says, "Go ahead."

"What?"

"Just say it and get it over with."

"Generally enthusiastic and energetic, fantastic interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills, but needs to cut down significantly on absenteeism."

I don't think she used any of it.

This is your problem, you take too much time.

Why so much foreplay? Just get to it.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Why on earth would he leave? He's never played in the NFL. He's never coached in the NFL. His system wouldn't work in the NFL. Bobby Petrino, Nick Saban, Steve Spurier and many other college coaches have tried their hand at the NFL and failed miserably. I don't know why Charles would be any different. He can be the KING of Eugene with Uncle Phil's loaded wallet or he can be the coach of a crappy NFL team that can't fill the its own stadium.

I had some performance anxiety this morning. I wish I had the phone number to my 9th grade Health Teacher (Coach Jones) to let him know that it IS possible to push a string. :bag:
