I've been pretty blasé about the whole baby thing so far. I didn't want to get too emotionally invested. I went through one miscarriage with an ex (albeit unknown). My wife's sister had 2 miscarriages in the first 10 weeks. One of my sisters had 2 miscarriages, and another can't even have children. But today we had the 12 week appointment and heard the heartbeat for the first time, so this was a minor victory for us. It got dusty in that room. We've made it public now. Past "congrats" are already acknowledged. Thanks
Awesome dude.

anyone want to weigh in on a dumb argument?

if you were to take live maine lobster and put it in puget sound, what is the likelihood it would survive for any significant period of time? if you say it would die, what do you believe would kill it?
I have no idea, but some quick googling turned this up

the way this guy aimed his gun at people inside the gas station clearly warranted his demise

"Authorities said police fired Thursday night after the suspect pointed his handgun at customers at a gas station, endangering people there.

"When he pulled out his revolver and pointed it at people inside the store, the officers took action, fired their rounds, and the suspect expired at the scene," Cmdr. Andrew Smith said."

My BIL wants me to help coach an 11-12 y/o baseball team. I told him he's lucky I'm coming to his daughter's 1 y/o birthday party today.

I watched an episode of Big Bang Theory yesterday. I am completely baffled at how anyone thinks that show is even remotely funny.
My wife and I watch it and neither of us can explain why since we spend most of our time being annoyed. I think it's because they usually have one line per episode that gets a huge laugh, but that's it. No chuckles, no giggles, no smiles. One big laugh at one line they knock out of the park and the rest is just irritating.

Yeah, show is horrible.

Raise your hand if you got up this morning, flew to Chicago, met with a couple of people, and flew back home, all by 3 p.m. :hey: I desperately need a nap before our Swine & Wine dinner tonight. :(

While I"m napping, a little dream interpretation help?

I was traveling to a research center on a very tall but barren (brown rather than green or snowy, with no trees) mountain at the end of a train line. I barely catch the last train out and it is a very long ride, with no bathrooms available on the train. When I arrive, I make a beeline for the bathroom and find that it's one of the third-world type that is just a large hole in the floor. I start to get into position when I realize that the patrons of the research center's fine dining restaurant can see me. They don't seem shocked or even very interested by the fact that they can see me, but the hole in the ground is large enough that I figure I can crouch over the other side instead so that they won't see me. But then as I settle into the other side, I realize that watching me pee is Robert Downey Jr.

Fin.

My older son's soccer coach talked me into playing in an adult rec soccer league. Considering the last league I "competed" in was a bowling league about 20 yrs ago, I'm sure this will end well.

I think we need a name for the social anxiety i feel whenever my phone is not completely out of view from any and all people for fear of a naked pitcher will hit.

Thank god. I've seen a couple of these since it's been in syndication, and I haven't laughed much at all. Even the "hot chick" is overrated in movie/TV terms. I've heard people mention her previously as a reason to watch the show, but I was :shuked: once I did.I might get blasted for this, but throw in "Everyone Loves Raymond," "King of Queens," and "According to Jim" for me as well. The only funny thing about any of those shows is Frank Costanza in "King of Queens." Well, Raymond's dad was watchable as well in that show, but not comparable to "Frank."I did catch up on "How I Met Your Mother" lately, and found it awesome. It would be nothing without Neil Patrick Harris, but luckily we don't have to worry about that. It'll be interesting to see how they wrap that on up, but I read where it was originally planned for 8 seasons only, and now they are booked through 9. I don't mind the extra episodes, but I wonder what it will mean in the end. I expect "the event" to happen this season, but now I wonder if they screwed up the series finale by dragging it out another year.

Agree with all of these. I'd also put Two and a Half Men in there though; which I'm pretty sure you're a fan of.
