Do kids still like to go camping? I'm taking my brother and nephews (ages 10, 13 and 15) this weekend to camp and canoe. From talking to my bro, the kids don't seem near as excited as I would have as a kid.
I think you are verging on the horrendous, awful, awkward, too-cool-for-you teenage years with these guys. The 10 year old is probably feeding off the apathy of the other two. My sons get stoked everytime we go camping, but they are 9 and 7. I imagine my day of reckoning looms ahead. My advice? Tell them you hid some vintage Playboy's and fireworks out in the woods and give them a few clues to go out and find them. Then you can sit back and drink. When they emerge from their hunt, go shoot some fireworks into the water and let them retire to their tents early.
Are you going to canoe around a lake?
