I snagged my friend's corporate tickets to the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners AAA) game tonight. Reserved parking, prepaid unlimited food and beer. Other than tipping the ugly beerwench, the whole thing's free.Gotta love minor league ball.
I love, love, love minor league baseball even more than MLB. We're going to a suite next Wednesday with all these accoutrements, and I'm totally looking forward to it.
Safe to say you're "working things out" with OH?
Correct. All going well. Haven't wanted to post about that for a variety of reasons, but I really appreciate the support from so many people. Surprising number who PM'd and such with advice on how to make it work and NOT give it up, but I appreciate everyone no matter what their perspective.

I'm in the middle of a stretch of something like 9 days out of 10 of having my daughter. My gf keeps having to "sneak" over late at night after my daughter has gone to bed (don't want to expose my daughter too much to her as things are still pretty early on). A bunch of people I work with are losing their jobs (im the only one in mu group of 6 that is keeping my job) as my company tries to reduce head count. And I have 2 happy hours tonight to try to get to before picking up my daughter. I could really stand to have a session right now, but it's just not in the cards.

In other news, I'm gonna take my daughter to the Louisville Slugger museum and the science museum down there this weekend. That should be fun. Plus our hotel has a pool which she will want to swim in for at least 2 hours each day  hopefully this can be a fun weekend that she'll look back on fondly as she grows up
You should hit the Muhammad Ali museum (sorry for potential GM spelling) as well. It really is fantastic and has enough that even a young girl should enjoy it.
Yes, the Louisville Slugger and Muhammad Ali museums. You guys really know how to make a little girl's dreams come true.
Yeah, maybe definitely I was a weird little girl, but I would have loved both. But I was very into sports.

I'm doing it mostly to get that OH shotvideo on my tumblr.
How does all that work? I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
I was joking of course. But I think he pulled the youtube vid. (yes, I watched it a few times) So, unless one of you has it and wants to forward on or repost, it's going to have to remain in our hearts and minds.

Stryker - your last line on the live blog made me laugh out loud for real and for like, 3 seconds straight. The timing, right after I said I was ending it, and the wording, sublime, was just perfect.

I was going to add something and then realized I was about to ruin it. Props to me for being quiet for once.

my 83 year-old father (I'm still younger than Tanner) was given a kindle fire, so he now has access to the internet and is sending emails for the first time ever. I believe he thinks he's sending telegrams. Everything is in all caps, no sentence is longer than 4 words, and every sentence is on a separate line. He also thinks that if you don't respond within an hour, there must be something wrong. This was his latest:

THIS IS SECOND MESSAGE

TRIED REACHING YOU EARLIER

NO RESPONSE

ARE YOU OK?

CALL SOONEST

LOVE DAD

IMPORTANT PUBLIC THANK YOU!!!111111ONE

I've been terrible, because I've had the worst two work-weeks ever, in thanking our GB Frosty for sending a Christmas-like care package of majorly awesomest videos that only me and some French guy that lives in his parents' basement would love. Super-duper  . The best part to me was that he happened to send a copy of my favorite movie of the past few years, The Illusionist--not the Edward Norton vehicle but of course the French animated one with no dialogue. Also there were many others that are or will be dear to my heart. It was so awesome and generous and is again testament to the wonderful qualities of the JIMTANers.

:thanks:

This is really good news.Very happy for you. Good luck!

Tecumseh/Pack, thanks to you as well. Normally I might not try to thank everyone individually, but I've been so hesitant to say anything for fear of negative reaction that I truly appreciate the support more than you could imagine. :)

I'm tempted to start sending out emails with "STOP" at the end of every line.

I just wanted to know if you got it, I don't need a public thank you. I'm very humble and hate attention. Also, and this is both hilarious and awful given my line of work, but I threw The Illusionist in there mostly because it was sitting there and your box wasn't full (lol). I thought it was crappy kids crap. So glad I included it now.

I'm the most humble person there is. Seriously, I embarrass people with my humbleosity.

You can't fake this level of humble.

Best of luck to you and Mr. Krista, K4. Rooting for you, as always.

Guster, that gal is a dolt if she's dumping you. You'll be fine.

Pack, hang in there big fella. "In sickness and in health" is more than just a throw away line in the wedding. Good on ya.

So I'm going to hell. The Oregon Food Bank asked to use our warehouse to store items when they are short of storage and we give them free storage anytime they need it. Recently, they asked if they could store thousands of brand new, empty boxes. "Why SURE", I told them.

About 20-25 of those nice, new boxes found their way to my trunk to assist with my move. :bag: I promise not to harm them and will return them as I found them, but I kind of feel like a jerkass for using charity boxes.

Moving day = Saturday. All my old neighbors are really excited that I'm coming back home. Feels pretty damn sweet. :banned:

Oh, just a friendly warning to the GMTANTEXTER crowd. I'm getting on a Vegas-bound party bus at 9AM pac time with about 50 other drunks. One of the requirements is to bring a 30 pack of beer per couple...minimum. Be prepared for vids/texts.

:goodposting: I try not to judge anybody, but I am singularly unqualified to judge other people's relationships.
