Is this my fault? I'm drunk again. But I have to work again in two days so I'll stop being drunk every day. No I'm serious. For like a week.

 
I can't believe I have to work on Monday. The dream is over. Marvin, I envy you. Except for being poor because you're a teacher.

Die in a fire. This is the only thread on FBGs that I won't crap in, even if I'm drunk. If you become a fixture I swear to God I'll hunt you down and kill you. You have been warned. And I know what BGP stands for, so it won't be that hard.

You know the whole entire mess between me and this forum started because I got really upset about people using this forum to hunt down people in real life, right? When that started, I said Joe Bryant, shut the entire forum down right now. Because if that's the type of people posting here, and he didn't do anything about it for months, then he's too irresponsible to run a forum.That's the whole reason. I never heard one apology from Bryant. I never saw him be a stand up guy and say he screwed up, we are going to change things. Still a lot of the trash are posting here. Instead, he just started banning me.This place is a ghetto. It should be shut down before someone goes off half-cocked and does something stupid. And I'm not going to sit here and watch people be bullied by ithugs who think its their right to personally attack people, dehumanize them, and then go after them in real life. I'll voice my opinion to try to fix the problem because that's the kind of guy I am.
 
The way I don't want this to end is one of the crazies in the FFA going off and doing something really stupid and horrible, and then I have to sit here and say why the hell didn't you shut this place down years ago like I warned you. And then it just ruins Bryant's reputation, everyone's reputation associated with FBGs, and for what?

This place is a ticking time bomb. Just shut it down and then there's no problem.

So, how's it going? Back to our regularly scheduled drunk postings.

My wife and I bartended for our parish festival on Thursday night. The band was "The Doo *** Daddies", a 5 man band with 3 other singers/dancers/performers. Obviously they were a 40's, 50's and 60's bubble gum pop cover band. Apparently there's a geriatric following to all kinds of church festivals, county fairs, bingo halls etc. for these guys. They were pretty good. Had I been Tanner's age, I probably would have had a blast. But after 4 and a half hours of it I had had enough.

Old people are so cheap. We couldn't accept money, so they had to buy tickets to get drinks. Constant questions of:

"How many tickets for a beer? Is that free refills?"

"If I get a pitcher, is that better than getting 4 beers?"

"What is Jeremiah Weed? Is that the weed?"

"Can I get a half a beer for 1 ticket?"

But hey, free beer for me.

Its disgusting behavior. I can't sit back and do nothing. God knows what would have happened post-blue onion had I not made a huge stink.

jimtan peeps: the solution is the same as always. just like the gambling thread does to levi--don't acknowledge them in any way. not a single response. woz, mop, jonmx, etc. don't exist here.

no politics. no religion. we've made it nearly 2000 pages without this garbage. please don't bite. you're all better than this.

this is why rover is history. I'm done forever if we can't agree on this.

About to get on the plane to Portland. JR, who cries at least once a week because he doesn't want me to go to work, was playing the iPad. Got a hand in the face when I tried to tell him goodbye. Glad to know he loves Steve Jobs rotting corpse more than me.

 
FYI:

Been slacking quite a bit, but the Album (CD) Giveaway spreadsheet is almost done. As with the CD singles and Misc., GMTAN has first dibs and then I will open it up to the rest of the FFA. Should be done here in an hour or so.

Okay,

Here is a spreadsheet in Google Docs showing all the music I have that is up for grabs. The spreadsheet is editable by all who have the link. For now, all you need to do is put your user name in the Requested By field and we will move on from there just like the CD Single Giveaway. I will keep it open to just GMTAN for a couple of weeks and then open it up to the rest of the FFA after that. If you have any questions about any artists, let me know. Thanks. :bye:

:thumbup: Mrs. SLB is at a wedding shower and I'm sipping on a whiskey watching the Cards crush the Cubs. Again. Kids are at my parents. Oh sweet silence. Oh yeah, she also got pulled over doing 78 in a 65 on the way to the shower and the cop let her off with a warning. She may have blown him or given him a HJ but I don't care!
 
I'm in Portland free from the bonds of my family. Plan this afternoon is to go on a run at the river, take a nap, and drink several of the hoppiest beer I can find. I'm sure I will miss them at some point.

 
Mostly for GPJ, who I think reads this but just doesn't post:

Mr. krista flew to Chicago at 6 a.m. this morning for Steve Albini's surprise birthday party. I declined to go but received a text an hour ago indicating that the musical entertainment that Albini's wife put together for it was...a marching band. It's like my life has come full circle.
