GM's thread about nothing (38 Viewers)

I pulled up Disco Stu on spotify and am now listening to a playlist called "hipster international".
 I used spotify for about a week, so I have no idea what might be on that playlist. Good luck. :thumbup:I do need to go back to spotify and figure out if I should pay for it and start using it more.

If you sign up you get a 30 day free trial before they start deducting. That's what I did last week. #hipster

Looks like that playlist is by someone called napstersean?

I haven't created any playlists, but you should be able to get to ones by Tufnel, Truck, and UniAlias through me.

Slacker/Pandora/MOG guy here. I really need to give Spotify a better shot. Everyone else seems to love it, but I didn't like it the first time out.

:goodposting: :lmao: :lmao:And I'm sorry to say GMTANFFLers, I don't think I'll be able to participate, much less run the league. I recently had a large project dumped on me at work and with the kid coming in the next few weeks, I am going to be very stretched for time. :bag:
I'd volunteer to do it, but myl is blocked at work for me. Can someone else pick up the slack, or do we want to attempt to do an old school message board draft

I like how we're throwing around UniAlias like we should know who this guy is.
best I can tell is he hangs with Stu. otherwise, I got nothing.
He's mostly in the Gears of War threads.
Mostly lurk and post drunken ramblings these days.Spotify is great though. Tufnel's playlist is all new stuff I think? It's good. Hipster International is published by the dude who created Napster. It gets a little too poppy but it's not bad for main steam "hipster music"

Any other lists you'd recommend?

Sometimes I take JR fishing at a little pond in our neighborhood. Typically I don't even put a hook on either line. All he wants to do is cast and retrieve and the act of catching a fish gets in the way of drinking.

Oh, yeah, then she says, and I quote "he wants to know about having sex". The doctor looks at me and says sorry I'm taken. Then he looks at Mrs. SLB (not sure if the text pic I sent earlier actually went through or not but she was looking hot particularly her large breastciles) and says with sort of a Rico Suave voice "just make sure there aren't any gymnastic like stunts involved" opens the door (I couldn't see his face but I'm pretty sure he winked at her) and left.
Nothing? All right then.Kev, we're going to Vegas. I'll look more like a freak than usual and I guess I'll have to drink out of one of those giant glasses with a straw like Tanner but I'll make it work. Of course there could be a Vegas miracle. I have a follow up appointment with the doc the day before we leave. They picked the date. :fingerscrossed:

Probably but I meant like this.

I'll check when I get home.. The full version has more functionality than the mobile which I use during the day. I'm only subscribed to a few but there are a bunch of playlists I generally browse to find new music to add to my random playlist. If you sync your FB with Spotify it makes it really easy to see other friend's playlists.

I did the syncage...but I have only used the mobile version.

 I'm glad my dad never did that with me.
He's 3. The dangers of putting a hook on his Spiderman Zebco far outweigh the likelihood that he's going to catch a fish.

Dyl had his kindergarten orientation this morning. I slept and look like a hobo anyway. Anyway, Mrs. SLB had some "exciting" news when she got home. Instead of the kids all going to then end of the street to be picked up by the bus, everybody will meet in our driveway. I guess it's time to try another whiskey sampler, Vicodin just doesn't do it alone.

So far I've had:

Woodford Reserve

Devils Cut

Bookers

Makers Mark

Four Roses

Blantons

Old Forester

Never even heard of most of these but MM is out in front by a mile. Next up JD Tennessee Honey which is delicious.

Since I'm breaking my lurker habits in GMTAN today..

Stu/Bogart > This Saturday is the annual blondes vs brunettes flag football tournament. Roughly 100+ 20 something year old girls playing a flag football game for charity at the Cotton Bowl. The game itself is awful, but the after party and particularly the after-after party are pretty fantastic.

I have a full day of drinking planned but hopefully can remain coherent enough to do a shot video or several.

My cases generally end up getting paid by a bunch of different insurance companies. This particular one got paid by one carrier...I just got one check for $9.8 million delivered to my office. Biggest check I've ever seen.

I think it would be awesome if the physical size of the check was proportional to the amount of money on it.

Blantons is my favorite bourbon. If you think MM is even in the same league, you may want them to examine you for brain damage again.

:lmao:  Probably could have used some ice and less pain killers.

Dammit I already have plans. Golf in the morning, and then a date that day/night. Can't complain about my day really, but that does sound awesome.

Excluding special reserves or other such stuff, I'd probably go:Bookers>Blantons>Woodford>Four Roses>Maker Mark> Old Forester>>>>Devil's CutBut a lot of it just depends on what you're in teh mood for.

I thought 4 Roses was awful. I drank it don't get me wrong. I'm guessing drinking these out of a little plastic container doesn't help either.

Did I mention that the rubes at the Ozarks hospital put the neck brace on backwards? I was wondering why thing sucked even worse than I imagined it would. I was also wondering WTF desgined the thing to have ties that would rub up against my skin and cut the hell out of me shoulders. The doc took one look at me when he walked in the room :lmao: and asked what hospital I went to.

:lmao:

"Jerry Reed Memorial, why?"

Seems like he's part of Stu's inner circle. Only 6 people made his spotify list: Truck, Tufnel, UNIALIAS, NAPSTERSEAN, Daniel and RABIDAWG.

Oh, hey.
:lmao: This guy is a drunken ####### I've cornholed three times. The first two were unplanned (by me at least).

Cornhole #1 opener: "Are you from the internet?"

Cornhole #2 opener: "I love you."

I forget how Cornhole #3 started but I know it ended badly. :toilet:

I may be up for this.

Presentation went fine - no Xanax. The keys were two part - first, shortly before I went up our MIT MBA intern asked me what I was presenting on so I got to do a quicky dry run and talk though some of the points in a conversational way. The second was that this year they gave us portable mikes so I didn't have to be glued to the podium. This helped immensely as I could use up my nervous energy walking around the stage. Got feedback later that I looked very natural and must be accustomed to talked in front of groups

Bob - I would like to see some pictures with some of your nearly killed yourself presents.
