RIP Zeus

That was among the harder things I've done. We had a good day, most of which I've had tears either welling or streaming. He died in my arms. I got to chuck dirt on him. It sucked, but I feel really good about the timing. I don't feel he suffered much, but if we would have let it go any longer it would have been rough for him, and the most important thing for me was that he didn't suffer. He ate steak and apples (his favorite treat oddly enough) today, and spent most of the day doing something like this with me. He went out well.

I'm crying my eyes out right now. I loved that big stinky dog. I'm going to miss him a lot. I will definitely not be watching old yeller or where the red fern grows for a while.

I love Costco because I love quality products at reasonable prices, but I really, really hate going to Costco. There's something about warehouse shopping that brings out the worst in people.
I can't get out of there for under $100. I f'n hate that. Bought a 12 pack of Widmer Hefivizen (sp?) tonight at Rite Aid for 11.99. Cheaper than costco with NO aggravation.

Went chasing rock fish again yesterday after getting skunked a couple of weeks ago. We originally supposed to go today, but weather reports were calling for 30 mph winds and temps in the 30s. I love being on the Bay, but not THAT much. Called the charter captain and he was more than happy to move us up a day (temps near 60 and light winds). 15 minutes after we got lines in the water, we caught the fish in My link. 40" & 25 lbs. We thought we would limit out by 8:30. Come 1 p.m., she was still the only fish in the boat. We were all beat, so we called it a day. Captain & Mate started reeling the lines in and a fish hit the very last one. My link. This one was "only" 21" and maybe 6 lbs, which most think is the perfect size.

We had them fileted. The big one made filets at least an inch thick. So I think I'm gonna cube that meat in 1" squares, roll them in some Zatarains Fish Fry breading, and deep fry them. The thinner portions, I'll cut in sandwich size pieces and fry them. We split the meat evenly and I have a one gallon freezer bag full of Chesapeake goodness.

Really good pics. Especially of the Ravens.

Yeah, I was gonna delete that one but I have it as my avatar :e:lsewhere. She's sorta professionally associated with the Ravens and I hung out with her a few times. IIRC, she took that photo right before the Ravens/NE playoff game a few years ago. Nice lady, but wild too.

RIP Zeus.
:goodposting: Hang in there, 'ninja - you gave him a good life and he reciprocated. And well done on the love you showed him on his last day - I did something similar with a furry friend: took off work, hung out, played what little he could, and bought him a McD's cheeseburger at the drivethru.

Thanks, k, but I'll save the other for my next trip ;) Do you mind me asking why you are more selctive with "my" casa than the other? How do you vet your guests to your satisfaction?

Guster > I have a FB thing, where I only confirm ifriends that I've met IRL. So hopefully no offense that I haven't confirmed.ETA: :lmao: that the friend request came minutes after this exchange...trying to check out pics of Mrs. TF, eh?

Mrs. TF and I both have off tomorrow and the boys have day care. Can't freaking wait. After we bring them in the morning, we made an agreement to not get out of bed until 1:00. I don't even care about sex...I just want to be able to watch TV for 5 hours straight without interruption :excited:
Well, I ####### jinxed us. Baby 2 has fever
Does this mean your wife is free for sex?
why not

Windows 8 and its family are a ####.
Running it with no problems other than installing it over W7 which crashed and burned. I have it set to start up in Desktop mode using Classic Starter rather than Metro.
See, I didn't even know this was an option. I installed Classic Shell to at least get my Start menu back. The whole OS just seems remarkably un-user-friendly.Rarely does technology best me, but I'm finding myself getting angry and wanting to tell kids to get off my lawn.

Right, the FB request was for shtick value

I'm going to be honest, I have tried several different unicorn masks in the past. I have about 6 masks from various retailers around the internet and I've gotta say, this is the right one for me. When I put it on, I feel the rush of pretending I am a real-life unicorn! It is so realistically styled that there's a connection I feel deep inside when I put it on.

As mentioned in other reviews, the mask is very durable. The latex holds up well against brush and other woodland undergrowth. However, I found that when I tried to spear some pineapple from a tree or defend myself from approaching predators, the rubbery material of the horn just didn't hold up as well as I needed it to. More times than I'd like to admit, I had to gallop away from an attacking bear instead of standing proud and defending my honor like an actual unicorn. The solution I came up with was to simply reinforce the hollow inside of the horn with steel rods welded in a cylindrical shape. I just gorilla glued the metal into place (making sure a longer, pointed rod stuck out of the end so that I can pierce the hearts of my enemies) and voila!

Now I have a sweet unicorn mask that lets me fulfill all of my unicornical fantasies. You will not be disappointed in this mask.

Dude is interesting to say the least. SIL Bought him a keyboard for Christmas yesterday.
Success.

Bartender: Peach Tree Club (real name has been edited to protect the drunk)?

Me: Lemme talk to [homer's real name]

Bartender: Hang on.

Homer: Hello?

St. Lou Bob pays quickly and is a stand up guy, but most of you knew this already.

Thanks, Bob.
Same to you GB.

Gonna need a week long update here. Tried to catch up but there's no way that's happening. I kept seeing RIP Zeus and thought it said RIP Zooks, I was nervous for a minute.

It's the one I intend to live in, and it's nicer. At this point I don't care as much if people tear Casa Camila up, as has already been done here and there. Camila is also more outdoor living so harder to keep in perfect condition anyway, whereas Paloma is still pristine (or at least it was when I last visited, before anyone else had stayed there). I won't let unrelated groups of adults stay at Paloma (other than you and the lesbians).

Oh hell, lady - I can move then if that makes you feel better. I'm lazy as, well....me, but can Julio my way down the road if you'd rather I did mid-week.

What in my post indicated I'd rather you stayed elsewhere? I offered it as a way for you to see both, as they're different but both awesome.

Nothing, of course. But I have no problem switching houses if it works for youeta: I think I should shut my mouth now.

Tpw ninja, just went through the same a year ago with my three goldens.

Just got back from FILs funeral. Very nice service, with footage both from 76 and 81 and nice notes from a couple of the people that have stayed in touch. RIP Bob.

AngryWife and I are going out for date night while a neighbor watches the boys. Hoping to get a little action during the 13 minutes it takes her to go from drunk/frisky to drunk/sleepy.

It's like living with Fluffer around here sometimes.

About once an hour, my dad gives me temperature updates of various places - where we are now, where they are from, a town near where thy are from, where my aunt and uncle live. If anyone wants to know the temperature where they are, I bet he can let me know. It's 50/50 as to whether I'll pass it along though
This just made me laugh again. :lmao:

Especially because my Mom is sitting next to me on the couch looking at some ####ty auction site and reading out loud everything she sees:"Here's a table full of porcelain ducks and geese.""Oh, a chicken clock!"
