At our department holiday lunch* today, I won tickets to the company suite for a Kid Rock concert. *Avid readers of my posts will recall that the company disallowed company-sponsored lunches this year and are allowing us to search for gnomes instead, but my boss paid out of his own pocket for our lunch for 50+ at a good restaurant. Pretty nice.
Saw Kid Rock play a few years back at a Mardi Gras ball....I didn't know what to expect, but he put on a fun show. Obviously a party atomosphere...so as long as you're expecting that, you could have a good time
Yeah, have you read Mr. Krista's posts on music?
:lmao: This would be like Mr. Pickles winning tickets to a Dane Cook show or MoP winning a book with no pictures in it.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Shuke, walk into your son's room when it's your birthday and announce you are there for your spankings. See what happens.

HELLO! THANK YOU!
Well they aren't doing a very good job. That doesn't look like them at all.

No. Link?

So usually I try not to have more than 4 or 5 files on my desk at once. If I do, I'll take an hour or two after work and catch up and get organized. I just surveyed my desk and the floor. Twenty-one files. Twenty-one. And I took in two more cases today. I'm on salary, and I'm still at the office. The prospect of even getting things in order to form a plan of attack seems like a full-day project.
Sorry, GB. :(

Thinking of talking to boss about staying at the company but working remotely much of the time, spending 8-10 days in the office every month. I think not living in Memphis and not being physically in the office much of the time would make things more bearable.

Just came up with this idea at dinner and discussed where we would live (Nicaragua would probably be too difficult to go back and forth from). Thinking New Orleans. :coffee:
OH and I can go to concerts together :pickle:

I can see how it could be fun, though I can't name a single song of his. But one of my paralegals really wanted to win, so I gave the tickets to her.

Desk drinking allowed?

Thanks guys. It's a cool deal but a ton of work and I've had 3 of three at of them at once. Plus the supply business on top of it all. People are running me ragged.

I was so busy I didn't even walk the dog this morning. The dog figures it was his fault and follows me to the bathroom when I got home. He was sitting all nice waiting for me to pet him then [dog]OH KNOW, SOMETHING IS BITING MY ###!! Wait a minute, I almost got it. WAIT! NO WAIT! Damn it, he's going to pay attention to everybody else first. [/dog]

ETA And I can't wait to tell you two how I pulled this off at coshurkhole . It was a thing of beauty.

Totally true story: A guy that I work with used to teach 5th grade. A few years ago his students were doing some sort of career related project. My friend was out sick on the day the kids were supposed to pick an occupation that they wanted to research the next day. So when my friend comes back he looks at the list and 5 or 6 kids out of 25 wrote down "paralegal". Obviously he thought it was strange so he brought them up to his desk and asked them why they chose it. Turns out that kids saw the job title in the text and asked the substitute (who was actually a close friend of the regular teacher) what it was. The sub told them "It's a lawyer that jumps out of airplanes. Sometimes people need a lawyer really quick and paralegals can be flown in within an hour."

K4, Dylan would love to see Kid Rock perform Cowboy. Is that wrong by the way? I've exposed my boys to clean versions of lots of old school rap and stuff too.

President, no Vice President, no Junior Vice President.

We've each been there several times, one time together. LOVE it. And the owner of Mr. krista's restaurant is from there and cut his teeth with John Besh at August, so he'd have connections to some fantastic jobs.

:lmao: I'm going to tell my paralegals this story. They'll love it.

Our other thought was Portland. :) New Orleans with better weather and better proximity, though.
