GM's thread about nothing (35 Viewers)

Arrived at the in laws ranch at 7. Two brother in laws are out hunting til 8. Arrive at 8:10 and both go to bed because they are tired. Nieces and nephews have no manners and behave like heathens. Other brother in law races home with his girlfriends four kids (that he watched all day) so she could shop. Neither have jobs, leading us all to wonder what money she is shopping with. One of her kids asks if he can stay at the ranch since we have food here. :confused: Someone on the next property over is night shooting an ar-15 semi after dark. No lie - a hunter was killed on their property two weekends ago because of two blinds facing each other. But never mind that... We got guns to shoot!

Me >> by myself with booze and surrounded by some of the sweetest, most maladjusted kids on earth.

Wife tells me not to go outside and smoke a bunch of cigs and get drunk. Wtf else am I supposed to do?

Just flew in to JFK from LAX. It was fun & retro to try and figure out if my magic football team won using a pen and making notes in the margins of the in-flight magazine trying to remember our scoring system while getting the stats from the ticker on the bottom of ESPN & NBC. Of course I couldn't just wait until we landed.

Anyway, the guy next to me on the plane was smoking. Literally, not in a :jaa: kind of way. Not a cigarette, but some other kind of thing I've never seen before, like a thin pipe that had a wood cube on the end. At first I thought it was a bat & dugout, but not that. Are those things legal on flights now? Just curious. I mean, it didn't fill the cabin with smoke or anything, but when he exhaled there was definitely a visible white cloud. When the flight attendants didn't say anything I just figured I'd let it go, didn't bother me, actually preferred being next to him than the ##### who sniffled and sneezed all over the place during the flight. Six hours across from someone with a cold, I'm sure that means I'm going to be sick for a week, right? Hate her. Cover your mouth or something. Those medical face masks should be required on flights, stewardess should come over with one after your second sneeze and muzzle you up before you get the other 100 people on the flight sick.

Anyway, rant over, merry chistmas and happy festivus and stuff.

 
There's a UHEM shirt that could fit a grizzly bear. An old looking bottle of Pernod. Some Champagne, a wallet, a Sabres sweatshirt, and a Looney Tunes tshirt that appears to be signed by Dominik Hasek.

Sounds like a modded e-cig, but e-cigs are still illegal on planes.

I'd go Carolina, then Denver. Carolina's an 8.5 point favorite, Indy only 6.5.Assuming NE beats Jacksonville on the road and Miami at home, and that Denver beats Clevo this week, they'll need to win on Week 17 to get the first-round bye. NE owns the tiebreaker, I believe.

Thanks to you, LH, and others. I followed your advice and went Carolina instead of Indy. A winner either way but Carolina was a lot less stressful.Best part is that I think I am the only one left that still has Denver (17 pt favorite vs Chiefs) available. Only a handful of games mean anything but most of them are tight spreads. :banned:
 
Won one of my leagues and lost the other one bc I decided to start Hernandez over graham at the last second. $400 swing right there

If the Rams somehow beat Seattle next week, that will make the Rams undefeated in the division but they won't make the playoffs. Has that ever happened before?Also, Romo, thanks for giving me some false hope in my 5 game pickem pool yesterday dickmitten.

I finally got a Z pack last night. Been fighting it for a week. I tried the "saturate you body with screwdrivers" method but that didn't work out so well. I'm also considering punching myself in the balls for smoking last night.

Very Italian of you although I think the baked Rigatoni is more standard. I normally do Prime Rib but I went to a friend's for Thanksgiving this year and it was not good, so I'm making a re-do for Christmas dinner.On another note, Thank ####### god Christmas shopping is over. Going to get D to the Runk tonight.
 
We always have the inlaws over Christmas Eve. Except with events this year, they don't feel like celebrating much. So they are coming over at 2. Except my BIL & nephew won't be coming.

This suck-diddily-ucks.
