For my foot thingy they gave me cortisone pills. One of the listed possible side effects is rapid mood swings. I have this side effect in a big way. Thank god I only have to be on these for five days. Much longer and I'd either end up killing someone or locked in my basement crying and curled up in the fetal position.

Please, for your own sake, stay off the twitters for Badger v Gopher

Just between us guys...Offde is a total closet case, right?
I had a poker party at my house a few years ago and he stopped by. He was a bit overdressed but he's a nice guy
Did he wear the rubber band?
I don't know. His wrists were covered by a collared shirt underneath a sweater. But he didn't try to S my D or anything. And I'm pretty hot in jeans and my 2002 OC Softball Champions T shirt.

Very cool story regarding my dad...My dad and a bunch of guys he went to HS with (we're talking the classes of 1950-1954 or so here) have held a monthly poker game. First Friday of the month...every month...for close to 60 years. About 15 years ago the local paper did a story on the game. My step-mom calls me up last night. My dad's best friend and my godfather came over to see my step-mom. He hands her a check for $2100. He tells her to spend it on the lunch/reception that we're having for dad at one of the local Basque places (dad's favorite). It seems that the poker guys made an agreement back when they first started that if the kitty didn't add up or if someone won big and they felt like "tipping" that money would be thrown into a special fund. They agreed that when the first of them passed away they would use the money to throw a party. Unbelievably my dad was the first of them (at the age of 79) to go. Obviously, if you do the math, only two or three bucks was put into the fund each game. My first reaction when my step-mom told me was (since I know a lot of these old bastards) was "You mean somebody didn't walk off with it years ago?" She couldn't believe it either. So freaking crazy that a bunch of 18-19 year olds made a pact and stuck with it for nearly 60 years. Awesome.
Rules.

No specific times yet. We are flexible. Send me your details.
You tricked me into typing up a whole PM again, lol. You still can't get messages.
Ok - so I've been on the fence and still am because my mom is in the hospital. She's been in there since 1/1, but things are looking up a bit and it seems it's only a matter of time before she comes home. However, the target date is around 2/6, so if I got I want to make damn sure she's close to returning and feeling great.Flights to Austin are $550 from here, but only $277 if I go to DFW. I have some flexibility on flight times too, so that's why I was wondering on times. I was kind of planning on getting in by 11am-12noon or so and leaving on Monday sometime in the afternoon. If you guys were thinking differently though I should be able to adjust accordingly. So, I'd like to give it a couple of days, see how my mom progresses and then likely book a flight. I'd be happy to chip in for gas or whatever as well.
Glad to hear she's getting better. What a scary ordeal :(I think we've had our fill of sick and dead parents for nowTime for happy things like coshole and woz's nuptials and baby ysromo

See, THAT'S what I'm talking about. Great story imo

Didn't drink again. Slept in our bed. Talked for an hour about money and how I'm going to get our money back. Was very uncomfortable but long over due.

my wife apparently loves causing money drama too. i was going to suggest we swap. but your smoking would be a deal breaker for her. and i imagine 9-degree Cleveland weather would be a deal breaker for your wife.

Read this on teh facebopoks and it brought a tear to my eye..... seriously. So cool.

Tanner, it has taken every ounce of restraint I have to not post "Bet there were a lot of stars at that game" on the photo your brother has posted to facebook. I don't know why that joke continues to entertain me.Sidenote: Cool picture and story.

Yesterday was especially long and stressful, at one point I walked past the desk of the creepy guy that works in "IT" and I stopped and said "hey, when you finally really lose it and come in here and shoot up the place, I want you to shoot me first, right in the face" He never looked up from his computer monitor but quietly said "sounds good". When he left for the day he walked by my office and stopped for a second and gave me a "thumb-finger" gun shot and said "see ya Monday". I'm slightly nervous about coming in to work on Monday.
So yesterday I overhear this strange "IT" guy talking to someone else about gun laws and having his freedoms taken away. The other guy he was talking to said it should be ok to have guns but he said he does agree that there is no need for someone to automatic assault rifles or a machine gun. The creepy "IT" guy then said "whoa whoa, that should be legal. Imagine if something like "Red Dawn" happened and we were invaded, we need to protect ourselves from the russians" I've decided I'm going to just try to stay on his good side. I've already told him that I love him 3 times today.
