I recall at one point there was a guy blocking our path in the insanely crowded bar, so Homer just yells out.. "HEY. DOUCHBAG. GET THE #### OUT OF THE WAY"He's a charmer.

One of the pleasant surprises of the weekend was UniAlias. That cat is sneaky hilarious. Big fan.

Serious, Non-Coshole Question for Professionals, Especially Krista and Others who Hire People:

I submitted a cover letter and C.V. to a local place on 1/31. Apps were due 2/1. Is it cool and/or beneficial to give them a ring and ask about interviews, or is that being annoying? If it's a good thing, do I just contact their HR department or ring up the department I applied to?

I thought about this for a bit and if it were my child I honestly would scream at the cops to rush in. Here is why...you have a lunatic who has already killed. Yes he has the child and that likely is his only survival possession at the moment knowing if he were alone the cops would just march in at some point. I do not think this will end well. If my son or daughter is going to have their life taken then I want it on my terms not this jackass. I wouldn't want my son to suffer days on days of agony only to be killed anyways at the end. You might surprise the murderer and that is all you need to end the situation. All that tough talk aside, the folks handling the situation seem to be doing amazing work. They have communication with the murderer, they have been able to know that the child is alive, they have sent in blankets and toys for the child, I want to believe they can end this thing peacefully but this seems to be a nut job who has lost it and gone off the deep end. Might be a point of no return. T&P to the parents here, just brutal.

One of my favorite memories of the weekend;Bentley and I met up with cos, Uruk, homer, and thorn for lunch Friday at a Mexican place. The place is located just north of downtown, which means cosjobs thinks its Yankee territory. Anyway, introductions were made and drinks were served (coffee for cos, water for Bentley, beer for the rest of us). Cos declares that his primary motivation for coming to Amaya's was because their puffy tacos were the best anywhere....well worth the trip. Tells everyone they can be ordered with or without rice and beans. But get the puffy tacos...best around. Of course no one followed his advice which led to cos looking at us all skeptically, mutter-swearing under his breath, and generally wanting lunch to end so he could go home and take a nap.

I took cos' recommendation on the tacos. They were fanatstic.

Nothing he did at all. I think I had some impressions based on poorly remembered posts. He's an awesome dude and I'm glad to have sorted that out.

For whatever reason, I had the same impression of bentley going in. I have no idea why (user error, no doubt). As usual, I was 100% wrong.
