When I get severely depressed, I eat. I don't care to get drunk, I eat stuff I like that is awful for you. Then consider it rained every day last week so I didn't walk a single day. I had Chik-Fila-A, Steak-N-Shake and a whole artery clogging stuff I made myself. Plus sweets, ice cream, cake, cookies, donuts and Mrs. SLB made Brookies which are brownies made in a cupcake pan with chocolate chip dough in the middle.

I generally weigh myself every Monday morning and i wasn't looking forward to the results.

Anyone else ever have this happen to them? Yesterday about midday my left ear felt like it needed to "pop" like when you are ascending or descending on a plane. I couldn't get it to pop and as the day progressed my hearing in that ear became more diminished. By the time I went to bed it was making me dizzy and driving me crazy. When there was low ambient noise I heard ringing and a slight thumpthumpthump type noise. Woke up today and it was even worse, so I went to the doc. He didn't know what it was so he sent me to the ENT. Apparently I have hearing loss in the lower frequencies in my left ear, which might be caused by swelling in my inner ear. No fluid build up or wax. It's driving me absolutely crazy, I can't hear really well and feel almost drunk. Can't concentrate or focus on much.

When I have a sinus infection and have to fly I basically lose hearing for about 30 mins after landing. Sucks the big one. Especially if I have to call someone to let them know I landed.

Saw the ENT, he put me on prednisone and ordered an MRI to rule out and earball cancer/whatnot f'ing around with the auditory nerve. The most maddening thing is the thumpthumpthump constant noise.

He seemed to know exactly what was going on though and seems like he has seen it a fair amount of times Hope the prednisone does the trick and am back to "normal" within the next few days otherwise I am going to be a terrible person to be around.

I went through a crazy amount of steroids (Prednisone) last year. The third attempt finally seemed to do the trick. Since I still have one good ear, and the other has gotten somewhat better, so I'm going no ENT for now.

I would probably just roll the dice at the box office. If they are at even 20% capacity I'd be surprised. I really don't care which seats, but the $28 ones don't seem too bad. I spoke briefly with guru, and he might be in as well.

Are we talking Astros?what date? Seems like k4s employers should have tickets available. Or I can make a few calls. Sadly my inbev connection moved to Dallas.

Astros v Mariners on April 23rd. So far it seems like the consensus is walk up to the box office.

Man, I'd think we'd surely be able to get some mid-week Astro/Mariner tickets for free or well under face value. Count me in. HOw many tickets do we need? I'll make some calls.

I am in for any game except tonight. I forget who was on the business trip, so his/her schedule dictates, IMO. Probably easiest to pick a bar to meet up at... Home Plate Bar & Grill on Texas Ave is a convenient spot to get together.
