If we're doing the good news stuff we found out today we can refi the home loan and cut our monthly payment by 30% and the lender is picking up the closing costs.

One guy who just walks in and is kind of standing there, looking around fits the bill so I make eye contact and yell "Chris?" He nods and walks over, we shake hands and I introduce myself by my slave name and his buddy comes over and introduces himself. We all sit down and there's a little bit of an awkward silence so I ask "So, you're in town for work?" "Yep. work." He asks me what I do and I tell him. A couple more minutes of small talk go by and Chris asks me how I knew his name. I'm a little confused because we've been exchanging texts throughout the day and I had just scanned the thread earlier and for some reason was reminded of this post, so all I could muster was "Aren't you Chris, from the internet?"

Oooooohhhhhh Sofa.................. I have confirmation from the United States Post Office that a very special Christmasy box of joy will be delivered to home of Sofakings on this Friday. My goal all along was to get it to you before May, so I'm a little ahead of schedule. Please, note I included a letter with an inventory of prizes however, one item is not in the box which is a paperback novel titled "Black Ice". I bought it a couple years ago and figured that if I ever met Shuke in real life that then he would be facebook friends with me and then I'd find out his address and mail the book to him. That book was the last thing I was putting in the box and when I went to look for it I couldn't find it. I asked Little Zooks if he saw the book I left on the dinning room table and he said he saw it and he hid somewhere in the house because he thought that would be funny. He has no clue where he hid it. I didn't feel like updating the inventory on the letter because I was afraid that would delay me in mailing the package for another few months. I hope you and your family enjoy everything in the box.

Hey UH I have been checking in and lurking lately, been bery busy at work, but I always keep an eye on any comments you make on how you are doing. This is awesome. I fast two days a week (sort of, <600 calories, no booze 2 x per week) in hopes of not being such a pre-diabetic, artery clogged, hypertension, lardasss drunk, but on Tues/Wed I went back to back with it which was fine. But the first real thing i ate was a homemade calzone with cheese, meats, peppers, sauce, goodness, homemade dough and love. My ###### is a garden hose right now. Do not recommend. Oh, and the four beers I consumed today are acting like foam atop a tidal wave. Really cool

I'll add some slight, potential good news here, which is that in addition to selling Casa Camila (closing scheduled for May 22--pleasehappenpleasehappenpleasehappen), I received an offer on my Memphis monstrosity today. Bad news is that it's really lowball...wondering if I should just reject it and tell them to try again or counter. It's been a while since I sold a house (company bought my Chicago house so I didn't go through it then), but I don't remember people coming in 20% below asking price. Is that usual these days?

Yay! The good news keeps on coming in the GMTAN. I sold my house ~3 years ago and took about 20% less than asking, but that was also at the valley of the housing market decline. I did a spectacular job of buying high and selling low on that one. Oops
