GM's thread about nothing (51 Viewers)

I'm at a party and farted in the kitchen and I'm surprised the pilot light didn't make the whole place explode. Safe to say the girl I was talking to at the time will NOT be going home your GB Homer. :toilet:

Moving from TMobile to Sprint. Is that like switching from Decaf to Sanka?

Anyhow, Kellen found us a deal online where my wife and I will be getting brand new LG Optimus G phones for free if we sign a 2 year contract with 'em. I like free. Monthly pricing is the same as Tmobile. Unlimited everything. I know it ain't an iPhone, but I'm moving up from a Blackberry. This has to be an upgrade.[/quote

Go read the Ting thread right now gb]
That thread reads like one giant long Hipple post. It's not easy for non-savvy phone guys to read. There are more acronyms there than there are in the government.

If Sprint sucks so bad how are they still in business?
Short version:

Ting is on Sprint's network, will roam with verizon, and will charge you only for what you use. If you use less, you pay less. There are no plans. I was with Sprint for years, never had any trouble, and I don't have any trouble with Ting. My bill went from $140 to $40. It is awesome.

Yeah, it's for light users. Beyond what Hulk presents in that thread, you will lose bandwidth if the carrier they are leasing from needs it

I don't talk a lot, texting is dirt cheap, and I'm around a wireless network between home and work a good bit of the time. No brainer for me.

Exactly.

These companies are subsidizing the cost of the phone into their plans which is why you can get an Iphone or S4 or whatever for $100 when they are retailed for $500+. Or you buy the phone at retail and pay a minimum to get the bandwidth leftovers of the major companies. It is what it is. I think Hulk is doing a good thing in alerting people to a cost saving service but he's leaving a chunk of information out for heavy data users (I only read the first post, it might have been brought up).

Random thought, I'm flipping through and am watching Lawrence Fishbourne give the speech before the orgy in the Matrix 2. I keep thinking "Can youuuuu dig it?!!?!?!?"

Worked from 6am-noon. I took a nap from 2-9pm today. Had 4 Busch Lights and those are gone. I don't think I have anymore alcohol in the house.

So if you have Sprint already, moving to Ting should be a no brainer?

As long as you don't use a *lot* of data away from a wireless network, I can't see a single reason. You can port a lot of the phones over too. I bought my gs3 on Craigslist for $250 back before the s4 existed, they're probably gettable cheaper now.

$10.25 for a piece of #### cheeseburger and $8.75 for a hot dog. G F Y's Rams.
Getting shoved around by the Packers=Priceless

:football:
lol

There were a ton of Packers fans there. I don't get traveling for a meaningless game but whatever. There was some guy sitting 3 rows behind us that I wanted to ####### strangle though. He screamed YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after every play that went in GB's favor. Every. Play. He apparently thought he was at the Super Bowl or something.

Bob, they probably weren't travelling. I'm guessing it's like Steelers fans here in the Mid Atlantic - they spring from rotten soil when that team is doing well and the disease is permanent but not lethal.

:lmao:

There was certainly some that but I saw a lot of out of state license plates in the parking lot. There are a lot of loyal fans of different teams resulting from when the Big Red left. From what I understand there are certain bars they go to watch the games based on allegiance.

Oh God. Don't even get me started on "Steelers" bars. I'm all for capitalism, but these places are full of swine hollering "here we go Steelers" :clap/clap/clap/clapity-clap with the remains of whatever hoagie they were eating hanging off of their whiskers. Then, there are the men.....

It's still football

That I'm aware of there is a Packers, Steelers, Redskins, Vikings & 49ers bar here. Not sure where exactly though. I heard them talking about it on sports radio a year or so ago.

In a stroke of genius, a few years ago I dropped three racks into having a website built that would list all of the backer bars around the country. The Steelers website actually has a list of all of theirs. I think there are 3 or 4 Steelers bars in Atlanta, and I know of at least 3 Browns bars, plus Dolphins, Pats, Raiders, etc.
