GM's thread about nothing (27 Viewers)

:lmao:

At the beginning of every school year I like to go through all of my student information files (electronic) individually. I do this so that I will know ahead of time if the kid has any sort of an issue.

It might be medical, psychological, etc. If there is an issue a little icon will pop up. There's a caduceus for medial issues. There's also a yellow triangle for something learning-wise. My favorite is that if there is any sort of a custody issue ('Timmy's father may only see him on the weekend!' etc) the icon is a black silhouette of a man. It looks like a target to me.

It seems like every third kid has some sort of medical alert. 80-90% are for asthma. There are also alerts for various allergies bee stings, nuts etc. There are also usually a bunch for migraines or just headaches in general. Of course there alerts for more serious things like diabeatus or hemophilia.

Today I came across one I'd never seen before.

"Kailey wears a retainer".

I've got to keep a close on eye on this kid.
In case she needs emergency legal representation.

Such an awesome local story...hope it goes viral:

Taxi driver shoots lewd video of customer in cab, then tries extortion, cops say

In case the headline doesn't pique your interest, here's a quote from the "victim"

: ""I was confused, and I touched his arm and asked him what happened, why he had stopped kissing me," she said. At that point, the woman said, Ferrell got visibly upset and exclaimed that he had not kissed her, and that he was a "loving and devoted boyfriend.""
I

The comments are great on there (some have probably been deleted)...but here's a thread about it on Tiger Droppings, complete with folks that know her, claim to know her, etc.

I have a draft starting in 20 minutes. :football:

I enter Yahoo public leagues every year for one reason: winning them gets you an entry into a Winners League. My good iFriends, you have not lived until you have drafted with nine people who think they are the Lords of Magic Football because they beat up a bunch of Tanner's students in a Yahoo league.

SERIOUS BUSINESSTM

I forgot about a magic football league that I had joined with an old junior high buddy. So it autodrafted for me. It graded me a B+ and gave me the second best grade.

Jay Cutler went undrafted in mine. I would have taken him for my QB2, but I had Luck, who has the same bye week.

Dooooon't caaaaaarrrre

My mother took my son out to lunch today after he helped her find new phones for her and my dad. He's our new go-to tech guy. I'm hoping to install netflix soon. Anyhow, they went to Olive Garden, where she kindly bought my whole family dinner for this evening. To go stuff, a big old tray of spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread sticks. Damn it, it was good. Probably haven't been there in well over a decade, have participated in open mockery and food snobbery, but hell...it hit the spot. I might fix another plate now. :porked:

My wife picked up OG for our anniversary last month. I enjoyed it as well. Good on you :hifive:

Had some minor-to-moderate issues with water in the basement over the last few years. We were finally able to get a few inspections and estimates. Decided last night on the $17k option. I might have to quit drinking :wall:

I don't understand the hatred for Olive Garden. That would be like me making fun of people in the northeast for eating at a chain Mexican food place. Not everyone has authentic Italian at a decent price on every corner. We happen to like Olive Garden - some of the food is meh but some of it is pretty good. And they have Blue Moon on tap.

This beautiful tip comes from the Wikipornia thread:

You guys seen the ones on YouTube called Hysterical Literature where attractive women read books while being pleasured by a vibrator? They read out loud and see how long they can last. There is something about it. It's pretty rad.
:lmao: Just pic a random moment a little ways in and watch for a minute.
Chainsaw U is a regular in the wagering thread, he's good people.

Season 1 is Stoya. :blackdot:

Make some Italian friends. Their mom will invite you over for dinner.

For that price they better be digging down around the outside of your house and sealing the walls from there and redoing the drain tile.

And throw in at least two hand jobs.

I'll have to re-read the fine print for handys.

But yeah, we have a problem with our footers, walls beginning to bow and some previously repaired step cracks and horizontal cracks that were shoddily done. They'll be digging down and sealing, along with putting new drain tile about 4 feet from the surface. Also installing new drain tile below the slab, a new deeper sump pump and ventilation system.

The house is 90 years old so all in all it isn't in terrible shape but it was going to affect our resale value (plan on moving w/in a few years).

Double bonus: Stoya reads a book written by a friend of mine who writes under the pseudonym "Supervert."

Update: WATCHED. Wow, that was hot. The girl can't even read by the end.

TF BOC arrived on Monday. I've been remiss in documenting the contents. Didn't want it getting lost in the draft.

Anyway, here it is:

1 Ziploc bag labelled "Disco Stu Starter Kit" containing:

1 pair of those sunglasses that go over prescription glasses thing

1 "kickball.com" T-shirt

2 packages "Zoo Animal" fruit snacks

3 phallic shaped stripey balloons

1 Ziploc bag labelled "B/C you like Bourbon" containing:

a fifth of Robby Gordon branded Jim Beam (85% empty)

1 program for the 15th Annual "Fin, Feather or Fur" Food Festival

1 T-Shirt (XL) for Neaux LA Tigers

1 Ziploc bag of rotten (pistachio?) shells

and the prize of the entire BOC

1 GMTAN Coshole '13 custom tile (with logo) made into what I presume to be a wall hanging or Christmas Tree ornament with some red ribbon.
