GM's thread about nothing (22 Viewers)

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - A 58-year-old Uruguayan man who disappeared four months ago in the remote Andes Mountains was found alive on Sunday, after he spent a brutal winter eating rats and raisins to survive, local media reported.

Raul Fernando Gomez Circunegui reportedly got lost in May. He was trying to cross the mountains from Chile to Argentina on foot because his motorcycle broke down.

I do think Romo is better than Blaine Gabbert.
Trust me, he's better than Weeden.
I know he is. But man...he can be hard to stomach when money is on the line. He's a great QB, just not very clutch. I watched some of the Browns game yesterday. That was bad. Gabbert, Weeden and Locker are all running out of rope, IMO.
Please add Ponder to this list.

I'm not one to suggest that playing NFL quarterback is easy, and I realize that none of the 4 guys listed above was thought real highly of when they came in to the league. But not a one of them appears to have improved at all. And you are right - with the way rookie slotting is these days I think that 2-3 years is all a guy is going to get to show he is the man for the job.

Weren't they all first rounders?

Ponder seems a little better than the others. Locker looked okay at times. Gabbert was utterly atrocious. I didn't see much of Weeden, but yeah, he's not cut out for this.

Rats. What a treat.

For a brief second on my iPad here, the little star icon to the left of the thread was replaced by a giant Peppermint Patty icon.

Homer throwing up the adolescent lesbian Bat-Signal?

Yeah, strike that. Forgot he threw 3 ints.

I had two phone interviews on Friday to do some remote work (one is in NY, one in Los Angeles) for a couple of companies I'm really excited to work with. Today I heard they both want me. How crazy am I to do both and go from retirement to way too much work again?

Nevermind, don't answer that. But I'm going to do both. :excited:

[Quinoa]Are you working remotely because their respective buildings not reinforced enough to handle your massive weight?[/Quinoa]

I managed to score a microcell from AT&T today after complaining about my single bar and dropped call at home woes. Pretty much at full bars now throughout the house.

And lost a fumble and had a 4th int called back. He's a real gem.

2 jobs? What could go wrong?
I know. :bag: I heard first that these guys wanted me for international sales, marketing and distribution work and it's such a cool company that I really wanted to do it. Then about two hours later I got word that these guys had gotten their internal authorization to hire me for M&A work, and damned if my greatest amount of experience isn't in food and beverage M&A, so I couldn't resist that one either.

The good news is that I don't sleep. :hey: SLB.
