GM's thread about nothing (21 Viewers)

Sons of Anarchy starts back up tonight and frankly, I am anticipating it more than I did BB this season, although BB's really exceeded my expectations so far this year.
...said no one ever in the history of ever.
:goodposting: SOA is to BB what Rex Grossman is to Tom Brady.
Not arguing that.

Just saying with the abbreviated season of BB last year and the complete moral demise of all its characters, I did not highly anticipate coming back for five more shows a year later. I was glad it was back and it has smashed my expectations on its return.

But I'm really looking forward to hanging out with Samcro for 13 weeks.
:fishing:

The entire show centers around a fictional organization that sells illegal, death-dealing weapons for profit.

Please post this in the BB thread

Its like I have tickets to the Longhorns next week and an invite to the Bentley tailgate.

I'm pretty sure game's going to be better, but I'm looking forward to tailgate more.

They are at least a dozen SOA characters I would trust to have my back in a dangerous situation. I cannot think of any from BB>

So your moral compass is centered around who you'd prefer to "have your back" as opposed to who doesn't do societal harm? Interesting...

Some idiot stole a couple of bicycles from my brother's backyard. A week later, the moron and his girlfriend list them for sale on Craigslist. Cops set up a sting buy, and arrest them. Brother gets his bikes back.

Stupid really is as stupid does.

Love these stories! Peter King's daughter had her bike stolen and tracked it down the same way. Cops let her ride with them on the 'sting'. That's pretty cool.

I was hoping that my brother was going to be able to ride along for the bust, but wasn't able to. The suspect has prior arrests for manufacture/delivery of drugs and some other "fugitive intent" something or other. Total dirtbag. Hope he rots.

Heard a story about someone finding their stolen bike on Craigslist and then taking it for a test ride but never coming back.

I think we have a name but I'm not sharing it with you ### bags because you won't like it and online approval is important to me.

2 pieces of evidence for my parent of the year candidacy:

1. The other day my 4 year old comes out of his room and says, "I can't sleep because the f*****g star light is making funny shadows"

2. Just now, I asked him for a sip of his juice and he laughed and said, "It's not beer, daddy".

:bowtie:
:lmao:

This makes me feel slightly better about the way Cal's actions lately.

Only 97 miles away! Tanner come pick me up.
He'll have his left turn signal on the whole way, but I like this idea.

The Beginning
In 1925, Tom Huston founded "Tom's Roasted Peanuts", and began selling his peanuts for a nickel a bag to a rascally Tanner in Bakersfield..
Oh come on.

We are probably making her middle name my first name. Mock all you want. It was my wife's idea and has been a family name for about 6 generations. I had come to grips with not having a son and not using it but the wife thought it would be fine as a middle name for a little girl.

Went to bed last night to find Mrs. SLB laying there in blue & white striped boy shorts and a dark blue bra. Yes I got a :pic:. Many a Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was like to be roasted in the depths of the Slor last night I can assure you.

I laughed as hard today as I have in a long time (though it was after the fact).

Attended a pre-construction meeting for a high-rise we're gonna install the foundations on near DC. These guys - the people we're working for - are based in Houston but most of the actual personnel on this project are from the Northeast. They have been hammering all of their sub-contractors the entire build-up to getting going with unreasonable requests while not honoring the same in reverse for months. The Jersey accents just drive it all home.

So, we get there a little early loaded for bear based on what we had heard (the construction industry is gossipier than any other) - our company president, VP, general superintendent, Safety super (who just got a national award yesterday), and the superintendent who's going to run the job. They brought us in ahead of schedule since they had the concrete supplier present.

This project is in northern VA, one of the worst traffic cluster ####s in the world. When we were escorted in, one of the Jersey ##### was screaming at the local VP of the largest aggregate/readymix suppliers in the world: :"I will NOT accept traffic as an excuse for not getting concrete here on time! We will set up our own plant on-site!" (it wouldn't be worth it)

Concrete VP said "#### you, go ahead you union #######; I'm getting $10 more per yard than I quoted you and have a back log that'll outlive you" (btw: I hate this supplier, but I was hearing the "Theme from Rocky" in my head when he said it).

Our meeting went well.

You guys like it, it's cool. I'm the last one to mock anyone's name (it's silly anyway).

My boss mocks a lot of names black folks use for their kids. His 3 daughters are named by some of the most God-awful Anglo-Celtic spellings I've ever seen.
