My son just said that at lunch today another kid told the rest of the table that he had a bunch of guns at home and was going to bring them to school and shoot the rest of them.

I'm sure it's just boys being boys, but Jesus. Time to alert the authorities.
Yeah. Unfortunately that's what it's come to.

Oh yeah, one last thing on Cal, he has started making these clicking noises with his mouth as well as winking uncontrollably. He started with the winking and I thought he was just being, you no, inside stuff. His doctor said to let her know if he's still doing it in 4 months which seems like a long time.

Go milk ****.

Kids say stupid things. I would let the school handle it first if you trust them.

Authorities = school administration IMO.

That sounds like anxiety. Dang GB, I'm sorry you're going through all of this. I know it tears you up the way it would tear me up if my little guy had this going on.

Feel free to get it off your chest if you need to anytime.

30 pounds of peanut butter for fifty nine bucks seems like a pretty good deal.

So we're looking for some nice GMTAN good news.

I've got my son as redEx is out of town.

Just pulled my kid's first tooth out. Nice to be able to share that moment with him.

This is beautiful. Makes me wish I could fall in love again.
Local radio show had him on yesterday. They just wound him up and let him go, without comment. Now they're in trouble.

I don't want to play computerchair neuropsychiatrist, but Wingboy had those same symptoms. Was ultimately diagnosed with a mild form of Tourette's. He grew out of it, no meds required, but I feel for what you're going through, brother.

I had tics like this growing up. Never diagnosed with a thing or medicated. Grew out of it.

As if SLB didn't have enough to worry about.

"Eat a ####" as a response to, well, anything may not be much of a joke anymore in the SLB household.

That's just nuts. And absolutely right you have to alert them regardless of boys being boys ####.

That's where I would start as well. They will likely alert the police though.

I believe modern laws actually require them to notify law enforcement.

I think Old Forrester has a birthday bourbon out and Four Roses is doing some 125th anniversary batch.

Here's a link I found that references a couple of them: http://www.kentucky.com/2013/08/08/2756119/brown-forman-to-release-newest.html

I follow a bunch of the distilleries on facebook and have seen a number of updates that way.
That Birthday Bourbon may fit the bill being it's celebrating the birth of his first son and his actual birthday is in October as well. Odds that it's still available?
 Call some bigger liquor stores in the area I guess.
Located and set aside after talking to 3 different stores.

“Old Forester is the only bourbon still in existence today that was produced before, during and after Prohibition by its original distiller,” Morris said. “No other bourbon brand sold in the U.S. today can make that claim.”

Now in production for 140 years, Old Forester was the first bourbon sold only in a bottle, according to Brown-Forman.

The 97-proof, Limited Release 2013 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon will be sold beginning in mid-August for a suggested retail price of $54.99 nationwide.

The “birthday bourbons” have won many awards over the years. “This year’s batch was selected for its robust presentation of flavors which showcase vanilla bean caramelized oak paired with deep layers of warming spices and a delicate nut character,” Morris said. “A rich aroma and a long, warm finish make this yet another must-have release.”

GM sent me a really awesome message when I was going through my divorce. I wish I still had it. It was really encouraging. I'm going to paraphrase, because it might be helpful to some.

"The weather will seem better. Music will sound better. Food will taste good again. It may not seem like anything is ok right now, but it will get better, and you will be ok. You don't even have to believe that for it to be true."

It was a nice note. Thanks GB. You certainly were under no obligation to send it to me.

I missed the last 5 pages or so. Sacamano update?
Everybody has a loved one who is either dying or slowly killing them.

And I'm sorry krista, but I giggled like a girl scout being tickled by Uncle Homer's moustache when I read, "... on the fuzzy front."

And TRE needs to put on a shirt.

Is there a reason Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are making it so ####### difficult to get the Beatles catagloue on Spotify?

I'll try to interject some good news. Got a sleu of folks coming over for the LSU/UGA game and then the Bama//ole Miss game tomorrow. Here's what I'll be cooking b/w today and tomorrow:

I love nothing more than awesome weather, opening up the windows, drinking some beers and cooking to a nice chill playlist. Am I getting old?

What is your red beans and rice recipe? I have a decent one but I think it could be a lot better.
