My linkBTW, Cal has decided to start taking school seriously. One more day and he'll have a full week without me hearing about something idiotic (can't believe these things have come back to haunt me) he's done. Now he is impressing the teachers with what he is able to do. Thanks for the T&P's (except Tanner you dickmuffin) I appreciate it.
Go on.......I would like to re-thank K4 (tpw GB) for introducing me to pappy and Tre for giving me the heads up on the tasting in a couple weekends. Working every angle I have to procure some bottles of this year's release :fingerscrossed:
Welcome.Dude... those are straight frigging DELICIOUS if you know how to make them.Notorious T.R.E. said:Yeah, just like those Lipton rice packets you can get for $.99.commisholio said:YOU HAVE TO BROWN THE NOODLES!!!!I like that rice/butter/broth needs it's own special recipe.![]()

And by know how to make them, I of course mean adding an inordinate amount of butter and cheese to the mix. Preferably a thick and stringy (no homo) cheese like a mozzarella or even maybe/possibly a parmesan if you're feeling particularly frisky.
It's kind of like Ramen in this regard.

Wait, was he saying to take him off the machines right then? And they wanted to sleep on it?I came home from NY one day early and am getting really drunk. Not that this is of interest to anyone.
I'm doing a lot of remembrances of Mark, who is not dead yet. Here's the ####### worst thing in the world...he is conscious and perfectly aware of the situation. He is part of the decision to take his ventilator off, and they've decided as a family to sleep on it and decide on their options tomorrow. I can't even ####### imagine this.
Same high school as Matt Stafford, Doak Walker, Angie Harmon, Bobby Layne, John Hinkley Jr. and F. Van Nezbitt!Yeah, he's fairly decent at this pitching thing. Ought to stick with it, I think.-fish- said:My man love for Clayton Kershaw knows no bounds

Good friend passed from esophageal cancer a few years ago. 30 years old. Otherwise, was a very healthy kid. It spread into his lungs and when he got to the same point Mark is at, he asked to see his kids one more time before they took the ventilator out. I somehow ended up carrying his 3 year old daughter in and put her on his lap. I left the room and cried so hard, I thought that my head would explode. After the ventilator was removed, it took almost 4 hours for him to pass. The doctors said he had a very healthy heart and it refused to quit. It was absolutely agonizing for his wife. It was his decision. It was not what the family wanted, but it didn't matter. His wife told us that he looked her in the eyes and said, 'I'm tired.... I'm done.' She knew it was the right decision.I came home from NY one day early and am getting really drunk. Not that this is of interest to anyone.

Since they send you a picture of your offense, send them a picture of the check, hahahaha. At least in the two cases I have direct knowledge of, they have pretty good video of you breaking the law.how do we feel about traffic camera tickets? we're not paying these, right? just ignore or mail it back saying it wasn't me driving?
they send a letter with a picture of your car/ license plate. But it doesn't show who was driving. There is also an affadavit you can sign to assign blame to someone else (they also sign accepting blame) but I don't see where it's my job to tell them who was driving my car.Since they send you a picture of your offense, send them a picture of the check, hahahaha. At least in the two cases I have direct knowledge of, they have pretty good video of you breaking the law.how do we feel about traffic camera tickets? we're not paying these, right? just ignore or mail it back saying it wasn't me driving?

Stop that #### right f'ing NOW.
I'm older than you, I can tell you what to do.![]()
I'm dumber than you, so...In CA, they don't even send the ticket out to you unless they have clear pics of the license plate, the infraction, and the driver, who they of course presume to be you. The burden with that evidence I believe shifts to you to demonstrate that it wasn't you driving at that point, which is of course highly unlikely statistically that you're not the one driving your own car.Since they send you a picture of your offense, send them a picture of the check, hahahaha. At least in the two cases I have direct knowledge of, they have pretty good video of you breaking the law.how do we feel about traffic camera tickets? we're not paying these, right? just ignore or mail it back saying it wasn't me driving?
:subscribe:Much to Mrs. SLB's dismay, I made her start putting out resumes this week. Having a cush job and lots of free time to #### off is nice, I would imagine, but I was pretty adament (psychopathic) about this. She has already had calls back and did a phone interview this morning that will be followed by a face-to-face interview next week. Sounds pretty perfect. It will be working in the OR which is what she wants. No weekends and a part time gig where she would get 56 hours a month. Oh plus a 25%+ increase over what she's making now. Only bad thing is she will have to be on call one weekend day per month.

I thought it was great. Particularly the part where you were bucking while trying to have sex. I thought, "well, is he a 'bottom' or did he mistype something?"Yea, I shouldn't post drunk anymore.
YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH!Yea, I shouldn't post drunk anymore.
but if I don't pay the $100 fine, there will be a $25 penalty and they will pursue collections against me!!!Last time I checked, because a camera can't testify against you in court, you can tear them up and throw them out. This is what I did several years ago and I never heard back, although maybe things have changed by then.

I'd go to marriage counseling ASAP. I've never been, but it seems like a logical thing to do.So, a mini-update (and thanks to all of you who responded to my post last week):
I came home about a week ago. Started out sleeping on the couch. It just got too much to bear, living through my wife's utter sadness. I also didn't have anywhere to go. I don't want to stay with a friend (all my friends here are "married friends," meaning they are friends with my wife, asa well.). So I either had to find a place for $1500/month, with possibly signing a lease, or come home and re-evaluate.
In therapy this past tuesday, I said to my wife: "I really don't want to be married to you anymore. There have been just too many hard times, too much difficulty, too much hurt feelings. That being said, I die a little bit every time I come over to pick the kids up and you are sitting in the bathroom crying. Or I call to check on the kids and you start crying on the phone and the kids see you crying and then they cry. I can't stand to see you in so much pain. So I'll come back home."
And she said, "Ok, I'll take it."
So I'm back, for now. I'm not sure what this all means, but I really, really, really, appreciate how people here responded with nice words (or even stupid jokes). This is a nice place to vent, and I feel a little bad that I don't keep up with it enough.
Also, eat a ####.
Jesus, J. I wish you all the best, and please accept this in the heartfelt way I mean it, but you going home just to stop the others from being sad isn't going to last (for you, if not for them). So, a mini-update (and thanks to all of you who responded to my post last week):

I just can't fathom this. First of all, my wife would respond with something along the lines of, "Like hell you will. I don't want your pity. Eat a ####."In therapy this past tuesday, I said to my wife: "I really don't want to be married to you anymore. There have been just too many hard times, too much difficulty, too much hurt feelings. Yeah, my 2nd ex and I got that too. We never went back (her choice, not mine - but it turned out for the best in our case).Damn, Sweet J, I hope things get better for you soon. I wish I had some words of wisdom for you but it sounds like you're already going to counseling. What does the therapist have to say? Ours gave us "homework" assignments. Anything like that at this stage?
Nice avatar. You don't think I can sell $87 worth of popcorn/wrapping paper/wreaths/cookie dough/whatever other crap kids sell these days? This will be me.No. And I refuse to do it.Anything worse than your kid having to try to shill crap door to door for a school fundraiser?
me - $100 dollars of candy in that box?
wife - yes
me - I'll write a check.
Well, actually I'll do nothing and my wife will try really hard and then I'll write the $87 check at the last moment to get to $100.
Hi sweetie, love ya!
You thought wrong.
I accept your challenge.

But mostly, I don't get being that desperate to be with someone who just told you outright that they don't want to be with you.
Remind me: how old are your kids?
