GM's thread about nothing (28 Viewers)

They offered 15%? Counter at 85%. Thank them for the suggested discount number.
No.
:goodposting:

You go down slower than they come up unless you're aiming for a number around 50%, which is the delta between 15 and 85.

This is also why having a goal and a minimum limit you're willing to go for going in is a good idea, at least as preliminary numbers that might be subject to change.

I ####### hate all the first amendment outrage when something like this happens. Yes, you can say virtually anything you want without getting arrested or punished by the government; but what you say or how you act can have consequences from your employer, customers, or any joe on the street.

Wife and my mom are out for drinks and dinner in hopes that peace can be reached before Xmas and beyond. Cautiously optimistic as they say. Just me and Hazel tonight. Pretty sweet of the NFL to quit Thurs night games. I'd take J'ville vs Houston over another episode of Umi Zoomi.

But fun holding and playing with my little daughter after 10 days apart. She's grown and changed a little while gone. Cuter. Funnier. More personality. Forget how awesome it is at times when they are this age. They grow up fast. So fast.

Huge fan of the airport you got here Guster, only had to take my cellphone out of my pocket to get through security. Not sure why, but no complaints
CVG?

IND has been testing new security protocols where you don't have to take your shoes off or take laptops out of bags. They have a security expert standing with the person checking boarding passes who is supposedly trained to recognize suspicious behavior.
Had this in PHX Sky Harbor this week as well. Very smooth. Unfortunately, not so much in Nashville BNA. My TSA Pre interview isn't until January. :kicksrock:

Just in case you think my life may have changed, my Aunt died last night. She was an old woman who lived a full life. The real tragedy is they (my uncle died 4 years ago) have a daughter, early 50's I guess with Down's and severe MS. Poor thing walks completely hunched over. She's going to be lost. This makes me incredibly sad.

I'm off to go buy the boy's teachers gift cards since tomorrow's the last day of school and Mrs. SLB was too buys (lol) to buy them. WTF is the deal this year with getting a wish list for teachers? I saw it in another thread but can't remember where. I always take care of them, particularly considering the circumstances, but to send a school wide list by teacher requesting stuff? That's beyond tacky IMO. "Hey Susie, thanks for making me the cookies but I really wanted a gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond, Target or Panera Bread."
:lmao:

That's ridiculous. Just the fact that these teachers assume they're getting a gift period is terrible.

The only way I could imagine doing something like this would be to tell the kids "Hey, if you were already planning on getting me a gift skip the sweets and coffee mugs and gift cards. Instead buy get me some pencils, post-its, mini-sharpeners etc. And buy them from SLB Business Supplies Inc."
Thank you. I think Shuke's kid's school did the same thing this year. Maybe the union is behind this? Hard to believe it's a coincidence.
No, they sent out a list of food they wanted brought in for P-T conferences. This is way worse.

Been a rough year with a brutal end family wise, but I have faith the women I love most will find a way to work it out.

Sorry about your aunt.

Dudes wearing KCCO shirts are typically just a notch below Affliction shirt wearers on the douchbag scale in my opinion.

No offense GB Bogart. Still love you.
Can you break this down a little for the non-Chive informed? Affliction was a late 90's movie with Nick Nolte (and a good one) where he takes his tooth out with pliers. Won't soon forget that scene....but I can't imagine wearing a shirt for that movie.
The Chive is a website that shows mainly pictures of half-naked to 3/4 naked girls or Internet funny/cool/hip/stupid stuff. They have shirts you can buy.
I visit anytime somebody posts a link, but don't spend much time there. I guess I should. That hullahoop video took about 4 minutes for me to load. Seems wonky.
Not sure I get the whole Chive cult either, but it bring out a lot of chicks looking for attention.

New favorite twitter feed.

I think you mean Global Entry, yes? TSA Precheck doesn't require an interview--I've had it for several months now and didn't have to. Global Entry does require an interview but is a different thing.

Affirmative, interesting. Was actually right across from the giant Amazon distribution center for awhile.
Thanks for letting us know you were in town.

I am experiencing much frustration at the moment because ups and fedex don't five a #### about their customers.
The drivers do. Everyone else, not so much.I love how they act like it's impossible to contact a driver as if we live in the 1850's.
