I want to transpose this (just the football) into this (over the golf ball), and make it so you can kind of see the golf club (Kind of like this), then I want to be able to write in different names as the years go by. I think I can do that in Paint, even though it won't look the best,

Any help would be great and truly appreciated.

ETA: I've tried for the last hour using GIMP, and that was like trying to teach my wife to use Excel.

Use the quick selection tool on the football (it won't select any of the white). That will probably select some or all of the base, but you can remove the base part of the selection by holding down CTRL and tracing around what you want to remove the select drawing tool.

Once you get the football selected, do a CTRL-C to copy it. Open the golf club image. CTRL-V paste the football on to the golf club image - it will be a new layer. Do a flip horizontal on the football so it is going the right direction and move it over on top of the golf club. Save as a JPG and that will also flatten the layers.
