GM's thread about nothing (47 Viewers)

Lost 15 lbs since 1/1/14. Also finish up week 4 of couch to 10k tonight.

:pickle:
Holy crap!! I'm down 5 lbs and thought that was impressive - I'm about at my pre-Coshole weight. Well done.

How did you do it? I've just eaten better/smaller portions and drank a bit less (except for major binges the last 2 weekends)

Oh and my ADHD pills... a little bump in metabolism and decreased appetite have probably helped
To be fair, the last 2 weeks of the year, I was eating and drinking alot, and not drinking much water...so the first lbs just came right off by "being normal". I'm following weight watchers, which essentially is more fruits/veggies and smaller portions of foods you like...but they put it in a nice "game" where every food/drink has a point allocation and you can only have certain amount of points per day (based on gender/height/weight).

The couch to 10k app is working really well for me, gonna run a 10k in April for the first time in a few years. Hardest thing is me getting out there in this cold weather.

How did I miss the pic of Abe's hot wife. Search function to the rescue.
Link?
i think maybe Abe just texted it to the people he likes, because I didn't see it either :kicksrock:
I don't have your number. Just have bob, cos, ignoramus, and Bentley. Oh and shuke but we haven't met in real life so I didn't want to overextend myself and make things awkward.
:kicksrock:
I thought you would have just asked your girlfriend and she would have my phone hacked and all pictures delivered to you by now.

You going to run it hard or take the GM trot like Prince Fielder to 1st base on a walk approach? I'm up for another half marathon this June. Hoping to break 2 hours, which is still pretty slow. :bag:

I'm one of the losers who posted the facebook video. :bag: It was actually pretty good somehow.
I did as well, even after all the crap I gave about it. It turned into a 4 year snapshot of my kids with a Robin Williams pic thrown in. Had to share. It was cheesy, but I liked it

I got a Half Marathon in May and hope to run the Chicago Marathon in October. I'm about 25-30 pounds lighter than I was at this time last year. Running a lot helps.

I don't think so. There were 58 people trying out and they only take 3 to the semi-finals. The first 10 or so guys up there were horrendous, so I was liking my chances. Then a couple guys got up there and nailed it. I think I was okay, but the 2 minute time limit came a LOT faster than I thought it would (that's what she said) and I didn't get to finish my 'take'. I stayed around for most of the night, but finally left as it was getting late and I had a long drive back. There were a few guys that went after me that were terrific, so I think my chances are pretty slim.

But, I gave it a shot. Put me out of my comfort zone. The place was packed. Standing in front of 4 judges with a packed house around them was a little nerve-racking. I got a couple of jokes in and they liked my voice, but I'll be shocked if I'm one of the 3.
