New car recommendations? Thinking going with another Accord. Put about 110k miles on that and never had any big problems. It's 7 years old and blue book is still about 8k.

I can't remember how insurance handled the last car I had totaled (not my fault, #####), so not sure how they calculate value.
Mine's 10 years old at 120k and never any major service. Just followed the book
Hint: pretty much all cars are like this these days. It's not 1982.

Proud of you guys though.
link?

I'll do it. Who can I hook up with between ATL and Seattle? Clearly a St Louis stop works, yeah?
if you went north, you could go through Chicago and Minneapolis. If you went Central, you could go through Memphis, St. Louis, Denver, into California and then north. Or, if you took the southern route you could go through New Orleans, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Denver and then up to Seattle. That's all just off the top of my head though.

@krista - what do you want to know about shipping a car - MIL has done it twice

EDIT: NEVERMIND I SEE I'm BEHIND AND LATE AS USUAL

I don't understand how people don't know this. I asked Cal, he nailed it. Of course he also told me that Dionysus was the god of wine while watching a movie today. I found that impressive since that was a question at the last trivia night I was at and I was the only one that knew the answer. He's wicked smart when he isn't losing his mind.

Of course I was also told that Dylan beats him up then farts in his face.

It HAS to be shtick that some of you have either just recently seen Beverly Hill's Cop or

haven't seen it. Great movie, hell Little Zooks watched it last year (Eddie Murphy's laugh was enough entertainment for him) I also thought the sequel was just as good, but the 3rd one shouldn't have been made, similar to 3rd Godfather.

Now you've gone too far.

Hi happy people, quick question.

We had a situation the other night where Miss was almost mugged. Since, she's freaked out early in her sleep to the point I have to grab her and hold her until she calms down. When she wakes up in the morning, she barely has any recollection this happened. It's only been three days but she really is freaking out. Does anyone have an idea what I can do to help her?

TIA
So whose alias is this?

ETA: NM, I kept reading

Trying to figure out what to do the rest of the day. We were supposed to go mattress shopping but wife not feeling good. Was hoping to save Lego movie for tomorrow, could do it tonight but really wanted my wife to go so we could go as a family.

Have that bed sitting in boxes in our garage. Maybe I'll just buy a mattress off Amazon.
Just bought a new twin mattress for the kid today off of amazon. Turns out $90 "closeout" mattress sucksor, who knew?

Am I weird that I find the concept of daddy/daugher dances creepy?
No, super weird imo.
Yeah, I don't know about this either.
I'm okay with it.
:oldunsure:

I'm fine with being weird. Even really weird

This might just be an exposure thing. For starters, I don't remember it happening when I was a kid. so the concept is new to me.

Plus, all I know is son stuff.

I'm an only child, my father was an only child, my son is an only child.

Seriously?

Anyone ever shipped a car? Trying to figure out how risky it is or if a pretty easy venture.

Might need to start a thread. I don't really like leaving the GMTAN, though.
Never have but it's a fairly common practice due to rise of ebay/online sales.

How the hell do any of you guys keep up on this thread, or follow any one conversation in it for that matter, while maintaining a life outside of here? I post once and I check back in a few hours later and suddenly it's 10 pages later and there's no way I can sift back through to get caught up. This is insane.

Few highlights:

- shuke looks like you're going through some tough stuff at home, though I skimmed -- hope all is well, sending good vibes your way

- Thorn, I think you started a law firm. Gonna try and dig for some more details on this. Very psyched for you and wishing you luck.

- Congrats to Brent and GM and whoever the hell else suddenly because distance runners overnight. Knock em dead. I bought a knock-off Total Gym made by Weider for $150 on Amazon. Got great reviews. When I was 22 I lost about 50 lbs and got into the best shape of my life using that thing. It's the only thing that ever seemed to work for me. Figure I'll give it a shot ahead once OKid#2 arrives any day now (until then I'm drinking as much booze and eating as many cookies as I can find).

- Thanks for the advice on the wife birthday present. Found the perfect hit and knows what she wants, so I'm pulling the trigger and should be all set.

- Anyone want to swap me something for a PS3? I'm thinking something like a couple of sweet t-shirts with the logo of your local auto body place, or one of those beer mugs that freezes, or something cool like that. Serious inquiries only pls., and you better PM me, because I bet by the time I get back in here it'll be 30 pages from now and I'll never find your offer of sweet gear.
Interesting about that total gym knockoff. Is there a go-to excercise you like with it or do you just do whatever comes to mind

Otis: I will send you a three pack of offensive bourbon street t-shirts and a bunch of beads I didn't throw from the parade I walked in last night in exchange for the PS3.
Did you post under a different name before or were you brand new to FBG in 2011? Thought I knew all the NOLA people in here
