GM's thread about nothing (22 Viewers)

Really want a nice chef knife and maybe one of those chinese? giant chef knives but can't decide what a regular mope like me should get. The shun has a fancy design and seems goodish, so maybe I should just do that. I read the OH and Cos posts I could find and I'm still teh waffling.

Don't know what he posted before but he really loves his Shun/Kramer knife.

I don't ask for much other than an occasional text from Homer and SLB but I'd like to ask my ifriends here to vote for our family friend on American Idol. You can vote up to 50 times by texting "8" to 83676. Her name is Jena and she's a great kid. Appreciate any assistance!

I think she's a real dark horse to go far.

How's the grip on those? My hands are the size of country hams.

Ceramic knives... gimmicky?

I just looked her up on Google (because duh) and it gave me the option right on Google to cast all 50 votes for her right there. Boom, done. F texting.

My fingers look like packages of Jimmy Dean sausage. The big gold tube.

Global is the most comfortable knife I've found.

They're not a gimmick, but you should understand before you buy that they are definitely not to be used for boning. (Teehee)

Ever.

Orioles reliever Brian Matusz will leave camp next week...........to have a wart removed. They're saying the wart is on his finger. Sure it is. Yeah, that's what I told everyone too. I think he's my new favorite player.

Speaking of #####, Tanner was in my dream last night. For some reason we were staying at the same hotel and met up for drinks in the hotel bar. A large female bartender kept calling him her "Little Lamb Chop" and he hated it and specifically asked me not to mention it in this thread, That was pretty much it.

Can't wait for my little lamb chop to come back.

She's really good too.

Just gonna drop this in here
 I was hoping for something funny.
I laughed.
Is the implication that someone in this thread is a guest blogger?
Sounds like exactly what you do. Make up #### or slap together #### from other sources and post as a blog.

Make them dollars while you can.
I'm pretty sure guest blogging is when you're some eggspurt and using your name to drive traffic to someone else's site.

I think Abe is purely a "content generator" (for lack of a better word)...nothing is under his name, nor does he "own" any of what he writes...it becomes property of who is paying him.

I think you may have a distorted view of what my blogging consists of. There are lots of people farming content or trolling for links or page views. I am not one of them.

I write for three blogs. Each post is between 700-1400 words of original, researched, and edited content. For context, that will be about 1400 pages of single-spaced-12pt-Arial this year and every word is my own. I don't make anything up or slap anything together. As hard as it is to believe, I take a lot of pride in the posts being useful and informative and not just word spam.

At the dentist's office for the first time in five years. Pray for me. I probably wouldn't even be here now if not for uh's recent tales of dental woe. Thanks for serving as a cautionary tale buddy.

From OH: "I don't like them. They don't hold an edge and you can't sharpen them like a real knife. They're cheap for a reason."

Awesome.

Weird; I was at a Staples today for the first time in at least ten years. Awful place. Good riddance.

Mr. krista didn't go for about 15 years before I met him. Not a good thing. IIRC Drifter went through something like this, too?

TRE, Guster, anyone else, Mr. krista offered personal consultation on knife-buying if you need it. He asked me some questions about what you were looking for, and of course I don't really know. I didn't mention the country-ham hands.

On another front, where has our GB T Bell been?
