GM's thread about nothing (17 Viewers)

There was no body? I'm saying there's a slight possibility the pathological liar with serious financial problems just might be up to something.

I'll play the #### role and say that suicide is the ultimate selfish act and that would seem to fit this dudes MO. If it is fake, I hope you all cut ties with the guy.

Sorry you have to go through any of this crap floppo. Thops

Yep, that's definitely the #### role.

I have no sympathy for people that try to commit, threaten to commit, or do commit suicide. My uncle gave it a whirl at my moms house. He failed. I haven't talked to him since.

I view it it as the ultimate cop out, the only people that suffer are those left behind. I know you were dealing with this recently k4, but I am pretty cold hearted on this subject. I don't mean to offend.

I had a friend that drove herself off a cliff, absolutely gorgeous, the life of the party with everything to look forward to in life. 25 years old. It devastated her family beyond belief. She left a letter and everything. It was all normal life angst BS. But her solution was to end it. Her mother has never been the same.

But I'm a gmtaner that's experienced a lot of death in my family circle and from friends as well. I hold life too dear to simply give it away.

Guess I'm a ####.

I'm sorry for your losses. It may help your anger over the issue to understand where the impulse to commit suicide comes from beyond the amount you currently understand it. I encourage you to read the suicide thread on this board, though not to post in it.

I went and read some of it right away, as I respect kristas opinion more than most.

I'll crawl back in my hole now.
I don't think anyone wants you to crawl into a hole.
Certainly not.

I apologize for "agreeing" that you're a jerk, but I didn't want to bring the GMTAN down (more than usual), which is why I said let's leave it. DA RAIDERS, I'm very surprised to read such thoughts from you. There are some people on this board who have expressed similar thoughts, but they are the ones I'd consider the "usual suspects" who are not smart or thoughtful about much. You are the opposite of that. If you ever wish to discuss elsewhere than in this thread, I'm open. Suffice to say that I think learning more about the matter would take away the anger you have and, I hope, replace it with empathy and generosity.

Bad metaphor? I'll #### now better? Sorry I said anything to be honest.
I'm happy you did say something. Even if reading that thread doesn't change your mind, I'm happy to have the opportunity to point you toward some differing views of depression. When the letter from your friend detailed "normal life stuff" as reasons for suicide, that's a good indication that her brain was f'ed up - that she had some clinically diagnosable illness that made her unable to deal with "normal life stuff." At least to me.

To me, a statement that a clinically depressed person committed suicide for "normal life stuff" is akin to a statement that an AIDS patient died from the flu.

What would be your reaction if, hypothetically, a 6-year-old told you that you smell like bananas? Does this mean I'm getting "old man" smell?

a****** that doesn't let the person back in the Flow of traffic who pulled over for an emergency vehicle you deserve a fiery car crash

Coming back up from MD, we got caught about 200 yards behind an accident that shut the highway completely down for about 25 minutes while emergency services/police took care of it before rerouting traffic onto the shoulder.

So after sitting for for 25 minutes and finally getting to get moving again- needing to merge two lanes into one so we can go onto the shoulder, the guy next to me refuses to let me in in the typical I-go-you-go merge. I did anyways... I was in a rental- let him hit me.

We we are at a red light.. 2 lanes ...everyone in the right lane moved to shoulder everyone in left lane move to the right lane. Ambulance goes by in the left lane. We all start to pull back i to the lanes and the light is now green.

Jack hole 6 cars back gets into the right lane and just guns it. I almost side swiped him as he goes by.

When I moved to Columbus back in '01, I had a beat-to-hell 1980-something Oldsmobuick. Merging was never a problem.

Hey Guster, want to grab a beer some time Tuesday or Wednesday? We plan on going to the 7:00 ball games both days so maybe something earlier?
I PMed you a month ago!!!
I don't see it, even in my deleted conversations.
Guster and I are planning beers on Wednesday some time around 4ish. I'll send you my contact info. Hope you can make it.
I'm going to pull an Abe here, sorry.

I am working from home Wednesday so I can take my daughter to the dentist. I then have to drop off and pick my son up for an evening camp that night.

Also, I hit a 9 year old in the head with a soccer ball from like 30 yards away and made him cry a little bit.

On purpose.

I'm actually really good at soccer, but I generally don't admit it. So let's keep this between us...as far as you know, it was an accident.
:lmao: Friday this little girl also 9, FB pic of Dylan making the move on her to come later, was going down the slide into the pool and her dad was throwing a football to her so she could catch it as she went in. He kept overthrowing her though. Then mom is trying and she was too quick. The ball then lands at my feet. Kid goes down and throw a bb and it crushes her in the face. #######it. :bag:

Me, Mrs. SLB and her parents all thought it was cute. Judging by the almost nonexistent FB likes, I guess we were about the only ones.

THANK YOU!!!

It was really dark and you could barely see them. I was talking to her mother, Jodie in the FB selfie, and she was the one that pointed it out to me. I told her that I bet Dyl had his arm around her which she replies "no way!" then went to check it out only to come back :lmao: . Many pics were taken by both of us.

ETA

The next morning he asked me if I had gotten her phone number. lol He was more than a little disappointed to learn she lives in Chicago too.

He is a smooth operator, no doubt. The boy has moves on top of his moves.

Dylan is 7, Cal is 10 and the girl is 9. Both of them were trying to impress her all day in the pool. Cal kept calling her "polka dots" because of the design of her swimsuit which made her laugh. He looked like the odds on favorite for her attention come fireworks time but Dyl swooped in at the last minute.

My 7yo son was grabbing a girl's butt at the last bday party. repeatedly. while I filmed (not realizing he was doing this).

The kid is a kissing maniac- which I thought was really cute at first... but now is moving rapidly into "freaked out" territory. We keep telling him no-means-no, but for now he's just grabbing ###.

:lmao: I've never observed this but I know both of my boys have have "kissing sessions" with multiple girls already.

5yo son, JJ met a 7yo blond cutie and my nephew's birthday party on Friday. Followed her around all day. He was distracted and I noticed they were leavinng. I told him while he was in the kitchen. The party was in the backyard and everyone was leaving around the side of the house. This kid doesn't miss a beat, darts out the front door to intercept her, but stops just short of the corner they were coming around and leans against a tree. Waits for her to come over to give him a hug... :lmao: :hifive:
