GM's thread about nothing (29 Viewers)

The last time I went to BW3, they told me they didn't sell wings by the dozen anymore and offered them by the 10-piece, instead. I'm sure they lowered their prices accordingly.
Used to be a big fan but not sure what they're doing there. It's not even in increments of 5. It's like "5 or 6".

Prices have skyrocketed, too. It's not that good.

I like the wings at BWW.
I love BWW for the beer, sports and nice bartenders who are very nice to me. I am not a fan of their wings. Too damn small.

I still eat them though. :bag:
You should come to the one in Woodbury. Pretty good sized wings.
Just down the road from work. One of my colleagues is obsessed with Gina and her "ninja-like" waitressing skills. Gina needs to stop guessing what I want to drink.

Since we're riffing here, yesterday I won a "lot" of new in package hot wheels cars for my son. Paid $45 for 71 of them.

Now, he already has way too many cars, but I think it's going to fantastic to watch his head explode when he opens that box.

Problem is, I may be addicted to winning these auctions now. :oldunsure:

On the plus side, it seems like you can sell them back in bulk for about $0.40 a pop. #nestegg

I hope to god that I can do this and something similar with all of the Trash Packs we're accumulating.

Man, he's into those too. New series should be out soon at target!

Like a giant wussy boy, I kind of avoided wings in general because they were too messy. I would just get other things at typical wing joints. Really freaking stupid.

But now I'm like in love with wings. Not boneless wings, those are crap, but traditional wings with neat spices and lots of celery. I find myself ordering them all over and as much as I love BDub for what it is, they just aren't a very good wing place.

I very much want to try this Woodbury you speak about.

Neenja?

While I'm asking for help, i need a good reco for a book to read and I don't feel like sifting through the book thread.

Right now I am considering:

The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P

Obviously that's my vote.
I have that one written down because you have recommended a few times. Haven't been able to find it at Half Price Books yet.

The thing is this - if someone did a K4 send up with part humor part passive agressive ribbing, pointing out the same observations that Furkey did, she would have laughed, others would have piled on, she probably would have sheepishly agreed etc... that's how this thread points things out. How Furley did it was direct and quite frankly smelled of jealousy.

I lurked here for a couple years before posting. I'm a newbie, never met the core here IRL (except Ignoramus who was a wonderful date ). But I did silently observe the dynamics in here.

There is an 'in crowd'. It seems if you just merge in here nicely, contribute, share etc you get de facto accepted. If you jump in with schtick, or try to dominate or piss all over it, the wagons get circled. There is a slight level of intimidation thinking of joining the fun I guess, especially if you have a well worn persona in the FFA at large.

I would humbly suggest that more of the regulars in here venture into the mainstream threads a bit more. A lot of you are exceptionally good reads.
I can understand what you say about it seeming like an "in crowd", but I really don't think it's hard to break into that crowd if you're nice and don't, as you say, jump in with a weird agenda of some sort. There are a ton of "regulars" in this thread I didn't know well at all when I started posting in the thread, but I felt accepted quickly. Henry Ford would be a recent example of a newbie who came to the thread and fit in right away.

You're right that I get criticized in a light-hearted way frequently, as do most other denizens of this thread, and we all banter back and forth just fine in those cases. Except FDAS. That guy's a real jerk.

(Just hoping to make the throat-punch list.)

That's the one where I get warned about being cut off by my bartender gal friend. Neat.
That's the one where I once started a thread about getting cut off after my third beer. But in general they let me drink plenty.

I need a new book too, so will see if the library has this one.

I recommend "A Fan's Notes" to anybody who enjoys reading about true screw-ups and messed up people.

Depends on the manager. (Actually true)

To get the big portions of wings you have to go to BBWs.
You get your tubes tied?

You've seen me carry a football...does it look like I need to tie any tubes?
Wife went to bw3 last night. Horrible all around.
Did she try the booze?
it was the only high light and it wasn't that bright.
She sounds fun.
:lmao: Thanks
