GM's thread about nothing (39 Viewers)

There's some people who seriously don't like deep dish pizza. I thought it was an elaborate joke. Like when people say Hitler had some good ideas.

Is it acceptable to make a meal to give to yourself as a Christmas gift from Santa? So that you have something to eat while others are opening gifts? I'm not talking like a big meal or anything. Just something like a sandwich, chips and a soda that I can wrap up and give to myself
This should be more entertaining than the wing slap fight.
damn. cos might need to find a less expensive animal to massacre.

fishy update: I just looked at boatus.com and their list of boat ramps. The closest to here is Marrowstone in Port Hadlock (10 miles). There are also many in Port Townsend. All of these are better/quicker/easier than going over to Hansville/Kingston.

fishy, we had dinner at Ajax Cafe tonight (delicious but could have done without the jazz trio) and there was alleged to be a boat ramp right across the street. It was too dark and drunk for me to know for sure. Is this the alleged boat ramp that wasn't, or was it the one between Port Hadlock and Port Ludlow that I keep passing with a boat picture and an arrow by it? Anyway, I thought this was promising. There was a big ol' building and a pier with boats and stuff...though I guess we have that at the resort as well.
there are two ramps with signs. one is north of town. it's in horrible shape, it's about 8 feet wide, and it isn't deep enough to launch anything bigger than a drift boat. the other is at a state park. it's wider, but it doesn't have a drop-off, meaning again you can't launch anything with any significant draft.

I think the horrible shape, 8 feet wide one, is probably where we were tonight. See my prior post, though.

the horrible one is near mats mats beach, or whatever that place is that was named by a stutterer.

I'd take a nice thin Vito & Nicks over any deep dish
Really? Does the Plainfield Vito's do it justice?
Haven't had the Plainfield one. Only the original and the one in Joliet, which has closed. Before it closed, the Joliet one was just as good. Problem was, it was stupid expensive.

Yeah, that is the one with the sign that we've seen. The one we were near tonight is further north. The one I referenced in my later post (Marrowstone) is a little further north and east.

hmm..I need to check that one out. after the first of the year, I'm switching weekends with the ex wife to align kid-free weekends with the new lady (charv tried MissT, but I keep envisioning her with a mohawk). anyway, she'd be up for a weekend visit to pt. ludlow, and I can scout out boat ramps while I'm there.

Deep dish pizza is pretty much those most delicious thing on the planet.

Cheese on the bottom and a very heavy sauce with lots of tomato paste. Thin crust pizza is for women.

I understand if people prefer thin crust to deep dish, but to say they don't like good deep dish is unbelievable
I prefer thin crust, but when I visit my friend who lives in Chicago we pretty much always get a nice deep dish from Giordano's.
Your friend always takes you to Giordanos?
Sometimes he brings it to his house. And sometimes it's somewhere else but that's the name I remember because he had his groom's dinner there.

Great. Thanks.

I love all pizza-related items. I'd eat some Totino's pizza rolls out of the ### of a dead goat. Original from Italy, deep dish, Focaccia, thick crusts, squares, frozen, pockets, calzones, thin crust, white pizza, cheese steak pizza, stromboli, bowling alley pizza, and giant slice.

I lived in the birthplace of pizza for three years so I'd pick the original if I had a choice, but luckily I can just sit back and hopefully I'll die someday of pizza toxicity.

If you come to DC I'll take you for some off-the-boat stuff, then we'll make out.
I thought off-the-boat stuff came after making out
Only in Cleveland

Sounds steamy.

Is that offer open to anyone, or to just a select few?
You would be among the select few. Anytime!

wow. that was quite the trifecta of posts just now in the taliban thread.
Unfortunately his revelation will last all of 5 minutes while his feelings are hurt and he is "shocked". Tomorrow he will have no change in his behavior. He may rub a metaphorical scar or two when he again sees your name and avatar, but it will be a mystery to him why he does so, if he even notices that he does.
