GM's thread about nothing (19 Viewers)

I didn't know what NKOTB was either. I think maybe they came along a little later than my formative musical years. :bag:

In other news, I went to the doctor yesterday and they took my height. My entire adult life I've thought I was 5'6", but they said I was 5'5". I've either always been shorter, or I've begun to shrink.
Well, depending on how much sleeping you normally get and when you get measurd in the day, your height can definitely vary day to day and from mor ing to evening,The human head is so heavy that it compresses the spine throughout the day and makes you shrink. And if you have been getting less sleep, then you are spending more time each day with your head compressing your spine and you'll be shorter than times where you'd getting more sleep.
:goodposting: Your height also varies depending upon what shoes you are wearing at any given time.
this is advice I could have used some time ago

Weight?

Kidding!
I looked away when they did that part. :(
depth?of your cavernous ######?
It was an OB/GYN appointment.

The appointment was mid-afternoon. I'm going to assume that means I'm really 6'2".

You gonna unravle the mystery here or do we have to guess?
What's the mystery? That NKOTB stands for New Kids on the Block or why he had to buy tickets to such an event?
I didn't know what the abbreviation was for. Is it 1988 all over again? Why not type that out...I would have never guessed that, though I'm sure I could have copy/pasted into teh googles.
The USSR hasn't been around for a while but I still recognize the abbreviation.
Yup, USSR and NKOTB are precisely the same thing.
rocky IV would have made a lot more money beating the #### out of nkotb
I'm a little impressed these guys are able to still dress in tight clothes and dance like the Laker Girls at 40+. I get winded wiping my butt, so the fact they can still twirl around and sing without panting is hugely impressive. Remember when Axl Rose tried to sing live recently? Sounded like Pheidippides racing back to 26 miles to deliever a message.

Course these guys could be lip synching for all I know.
THIS you spell correctly?? :lmao:

I had blood work done Saturday. Good news is that my cholesterol is almost normal. Other good news is my AST was normal. Bad news is my ALT at 73 was not. I might be done drinking altogether.
What is ALT? Sorry, dude.
Liver enzyme. This is a moderate elevation, considering the high end of the range is in the 50s. It can get over 1000, but those people are in serious trouble. At any rate, Zooks shouldn't book a flight just yet.
I should take more than just February off probably. :(
Do you take any supplements? Milk Thistle?
Speaking of which:

http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/02/03/new-york-attorney-general-targets-supplements-at-major-retailers/?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=second-column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0

The NY AD just went and tested a bunch of supplement. Let's just say I won't be buying anything in a bottle anytime soon.
Just saw this.
Bunch of ##########s.

I took Milk Thistle about 7 years ago I guess and it actually caused my liver enzymes to go up. Of course after reading that article, who knows what I was taking.

When I stopped drinking whiskey last year, that made a dramatic improvement. :kicksrock:

This will change your life:

You can highlight NTKOTB then right click on it and have the option "Search Google for NKOTB" appear on the drop down menu. I just saved you 10s of hours over the next year. You're welcome.

Judging from the size of your head, that's not impossible

I have a number of business ideas I would love to fund if I could find the right people to operate them: Drug/alcohol rehab, mushroom farming, distillery, etc. What I would like to do is find talented qualified people to bring in as minority partners to run the operation I design and bankroll. How would I go about finding such people? Even if it was to just hire them as employees, I cannot seem to find a way to locate who I'm looking for. You'd think with the internet and everything it would be easier.
Honestly, LinkedIn is where 90% of recruiting happens these days.
Are you serious? I didn't think anyone really used LinkedIn. In any event, I'm headed there now!
Completely serious. Haven't seen a posted job anywhere that was not also on LinkedIn and it is every recruiter's first stop for filling their pipelines.
Any suggested keywords for someone that would love to live in Seattle, is an expert in innovation/creativity and would need to make 2x what i he does in Cincinnati?

Only 1.375x if you search Portland....plus i'd like to thank you in person for those marvelous squares.

Some how my house has turned in to a place where the 4 year old and 1 year old stay up until 10:30pm like its no big thing. On the plus side, they sleep late (9 or so). On the negative side, everything else. And I mean everything.

Um, I'm pretty sure you should have some say over when your kids go to bed. Ours sleep from 8 pm to 7 am and it's pretty glorious.

Ummmm, you know you and I have talked about this

The scene in S3 of the Wire where they round up all of the little drug dealers and have the assembly is amazingly underrated.

"You're hear to learn-" BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ok here's how 32 will fall. There are a ton of moving parts here and several of them could run off in the weeds. It may take two similar cracks at it. For sure watch VA's first attack for a primer. It's just sick.

32 has two weaknesses. He placed two WT right next to eachother. He's also got no xbow and no aq. He will fall to skulls.

  • Release 8 skulls hold 2 in reserve. This is overkill to an extent. These 10 will take out the 5 defenses in the 12 oclock corner. Bonus: they won't pop the CC while doing so. Send reserve skulls if you don't manage to pop all the D.
  • Behind these skulls let out 4 or 5 minions at noon to start letting them clean the non defense buildings. time will be a factor.
  • Now, one or more skulls will pop the CC. Maybe. This part is where things could come unraveled.
  • IF the skulls do pop the CC. they will suck towards your minions because your skulls will die soon.
  • Zap the CC. Release 5-10 more minions from noon.
  • IF the skulls DONT pop the CC (very possible). You need to send a hog down from noon to pop it.
  • Ok, now the CC is mostly dead or totally dead. Release 20 hogs in 4 pairs of 5 hogs each (slowly!) from 10 and 2 and noon. Have heals dropped for them
  • Use your heroes to take out the double WT set
  • Pray
We also know where all the big bombs are and the CC contents. We got this one.
