I have not, but I'd go with the braised short rib and cheddar flatbread and warm olive plate for apps (maybe add in the lobster flatbread and/or schrimp scampi if you have a lot of people), start with either a cup of the beef and black bean chili (beans in chili in texas!), then definitely go with the sesame grilled swordfish. Maybe the rack of lamb if you're not in the mood for seafood.

It's a client dinner. I'm pretty sure they would move their insurance business immediately if I ordered chili with beans. And rightfully so.

aka meat stew with beans no such thing as chili if there are beans. Just like black ice :shrug:

 
Oh! But she did have an ear infection recently and to treat it she poured essence of basil and essence of oregano on a paper towel and then stuck it in her ear. She smelled delicious. And sure enough, bam six days later and it's almost better.

You can dislike it all you want, but adding beans doesn't mean it's not chili. Eat it however you want, but no need to be a dickfor.

 
Speaking of food... Anyone have a good recipe for crab cakes? Gonna do filets and crab cakes for the gf on Valentine's Day

Well to be fair, day shift managers are awfully busy mid-afternoon after lunch. Your receipt carelessness caused him literally minutes from an extended smoke break.

Congrats on holding your temper though. You still have follow up plan options:

- meet him after his shift for a couple of drinks in the alley

- tell his boss that you just won't be able to bring your business and business clients to the restaurant any longer due to day manager's attitude

 
Cedar plank salmon was very good. As were the 4 double IPAs with dinner. Now on the treadmill in the hotel gym.

Interesting discussion after dinner with a mentor and role model of mine who told me that she was comfortable telling me now that I spent 2007 - 2013 as a grungy overgrown frat boy who mailed it in and coasted by on my natural talent. Good times.

I just watched those videos, or as much as I could stand of them. I have definitely never heard that Lorde song that I'm aware of, and I'm glad about that. The chorus of the "She Likes Me for Me" song is something I've heard before, though the song overall wasn't something that rang a bell. The chorus was familiar for sure, though.

I have a highly enhanced capacity to tune things out and not hear them at all. I rarely notice music in a restaurant or store, unless a song I already know and like comes on. 100% of my radio listening is either NPR or whatever the interesting community public radio station is wherever I'm living (here, it's KEXP). :shrug:

My confession in that FBG confession thread was that I secretly thought Tim was a good poster.

Yeah there's no way I'm sending real dirt on myself to "Scoresman" from the internet. He could be Anonymous for all I know.
