Trivia contest for PAIA is Tuesday night. I have completed my questions. 5 Rounds, 3 Questions each round + 1 Bonus Question after each round. Teams wager 1,3 or 6 points per question in each round, wagering more on the answer they are most certain of. Can only use the point value once per round. Also a Final Question where teams can wager between 0 and 10 points, depending on how sure they are with their answer. Questions are below in spoilers for those who might have an interest. If this is a hit, we'll do it again, so feedback good or bad welcome. Remember, this is an Alt Investment crowd, so I went heavy on market/business related questions.

GM -- trivia questions look good, but tough. The bonus questions need some sort of range or multiple choice, nobody will get the numbers on the nose. Might think about using song clues to help people, that's what our trivia guy does.
For the bonus, we will award the top 50% of teams closest to the number a bonus point. I won't have song clues as I just don't know what I'm doing. I might need to make these a little easier, but it's our first effort at this. Can tinker with it unless it's a complete flop, in which case, let us never speak of it again.

I do this, but like to use chips to scoop up some of the inner goodness.

When we make them at home, I like to grill 'em in foil for a few minutes to crisp up the tortilla and melt the cheese, Then I eat it like a banana. No fork, no knife, no plate, really. I imagine this is what cavemen did.
You peel your burritos?
No, but I peel back the aluminum foil like a banana skin and eat it top down.

While we're on topic, Verizon is a #######ed mess of a company.
They all are. Unfortunately, where we live Verizon is by far the best coverage/quality reception. We finally got all four lines/phones off contract and got a deal - went from 6GB, 2 smart phones/2 dumb phones and an ipad for $252/mo. with tax to 10GB, 4 smart phones and ipad for $157/mo. with tax. I am pretty damn happy.

Back in the day? Think she could still get the pipe now.

One of my FB friends has a sister that lives on this same street. Sister reporting "A LOT OF SHOOTING GOING ON".

This guy is toast.

Yeah but only because he's really really smart.

Didn't want to start a thread about this, but I'm curious if anyone's got any ideas?

My kid was completely fine when we dropped him off at day care this morning. Three hours later they called and said he had a fever of 102-103. Picked him up and he was miserable. Got him some Advil and a nap this afternoon and now he seems like he's completely fine. Chirpy and active. No fever even though he hasn't had anything in about four hours. Is that possible? To go from fine to 102/3 to fine in 10 hours?

Apparently they didn't kill the guy and he is in custody.

Considering how law enforcement is around here the perp beat some astronomical odds.

Cops in Pasco, WA shot and killed a guy for throwing rocks at them. OTOH, his death might somehow be krista-related, so we shouldn't rush to judgment.

Yuke did this last Saturday. Woke up from nap w a fever of 103. Gave him some Advil, put him to bed and he was fine in the morning. He was sick just long enough to ruin our Saturday night.

I think the GMTAN hurts the FFA in the grand scheme of things. A lot of good posters (and two of the handful of frequent female posters) stay there non-stop. Several others spend most of their time there. It's open to anyone but it's hard to feel welcome and participate unless you are really dedicated.Mr. Albino Man, tear down these walls!
I wont purport to be the spokesman for this place, and GM pretty much stated as much in the thread, but this isn't some secret club or a place where you have to know someone to post.

I was thinking about the concerns expressed in this post and the best I could come up with is that most everyone in this thread is, for the most part, "excellent to one another." Then I saw GM's post where he said it's "the FFA of the FFA" and that really sums it up nicely.

This is a place where we share our foibles and we laugh at ourselves and one another.

This is a place where we cry together and encourage one another.

This is a place where we advise and poke fun at one another.

Be positive. Share something. Make fun of Tanner's age. Make a shot video. Make us laugh. Don't piss in our Cheerios. Don't make it all about you. (Even though this is GM's thread, fortunately it is not all about him.) Don't be a doosh.

Post here more. Please.
